I picked a black and white rug for the seasonal versatility. This is a thick wool rug that looks quality. I love the dots around the edge, which gives it a classic, unique look.

I had a custom black with ivory accent rug at my entranceway for 25 years. I loved it. Traffic from pets and normal foot traffic discolored the ivory to an unsightly view. Years of cleaning no longer returned it to the rug I once loved. I needed the new rug to be a "true" 4'x6' without skimping partially on the size. I started looking for the size, color and quality I wanted and found this SAFAVIEH . I read many reviews about this one shedding but knew wool rugs/carpet initially do shed. Some said theirs arrived with an odor or stain/s. Even with those negatives I decided to see for myself. I'm so glad I did. Mine had NO odor..and note: I am VERY sensitive to odors. Mine had NO stains. It was a true 4'x6'. Does it shed? Upon arrival there was some noticeable shedding and quite a bit more when first vacuumed. I have had the rug for about six weeks and vacuum every day. Shedding now only seems to take place when the rug is vacuumed. The shedding has reduced by at least 80%. Would I recommend this rug. ABSOLUTELY! It's a thick wool rug well worth the bargain price. As a final note: the rug I purchased was sold and shipped by Amazon so I knew I could return it without hassle if I was not happy. The good news is it will remain with us in our home!

I bought this rug for my son’s nursery and it has been absolutely awful! It’s beautiful and really thick, but it sheds so bad! The fibers are everywhere! They stick to every piece of clothes, blankets, cloth toys EVERYTHING! There are shed pieces all over the floor. I have vacuumed it so much and still sheds 10 minutes later. It’s driving me insane. We have to keep it covered when my son plays on it so he’s not covered in fuzz. Anything silicone or rubber is covered. It’s been an absolute nightmare of a rug.

Very cute rug and good quality especially for the price but when it was delivered the packaging was very hot and sweaty. The rug was damp and has a mildew smell. I’ve been trying to air it out with a large fan hoping the smell subsides.

Have gotten many compliments on this pretty rug. Used a rug pad to add plushness but you may not need.Be aware there are some tiny white threads in the weave which can be mistaken for dirt but not a deal breaker.

My poor vacuum! I have to empty it 3 times. It is a pretty color, it’s soft, it’s plush, the backing is nice, lays well. I wanted to love this rug, and I do. EXCEPT one thing. The shedding. It’s ridiculous. Come on Safaviah do Better. For record, I’m keeping it.

This wool rug was perfect for the nursery. Comfy to walk or lay on however it never stopped shedding. Tumble weeds from the rug would be all over the room and all over your clothes if you sat on the floor. Kept cuz I thought it would eventually stop shedding . 1 year later it has a home rolled up in the garage.
