Clearly independently published
There is no copyright page, which isn't a big deal, but shows unprofessionalism. It's terribly formatted. Everything is double spaced like an English paper. Honestly, I've seen worse independently published books on Amazon. At least the contained information is mostly accurate. Everything is also spelled correctly and grammatically correct. The pop quiz in the first chapter is hard to read because it has no formatting. Chapter is extremely sexist but does provide a probable situation and might even be considered slightly comical. It's a situation about a person taking their partner on a "romantic" camping trip where they can flex and ask them to marry the main character. The author makes a point to say "they/them" but it's very much a gendered scenario. Of course the "partner" is more concerned about how they dress rather than having any knowledge in camping. This is more a gripe than anything because ultimately it doesn't affect the information contained within. The book is about 60 pages, double spaced. Unless you're a slow reader, it'll probably take about an hour or two to read. Most of the information found in the book is super basic stuff you can find by watching youtubers. Which makes it a great book for someone who doesn't watch that sort of media, just wants the bare basics wrapped up in one place, and doesn't want to spend days on end reading a super technical book. It's a good starter book for the basics, like dipping your toe in the water to see what it's like. This would be a good book to read to decide if survival basics are something you want to get into or if you would rather just get mauled by a bear. It does give a good overview for a beginner and is a good book to jump off of. What I mean by this is for example, it talks about basic tent building and fire building. The reader would most definitely want to then do more independent research regarding the topic to learn more if they do decide to get into survival topics. A subject like shelter or fire building, or even foraging or water purification/filtration are complex topics and cannot be all encompassed in a basic book like this one in which the information overly simplified. No one should read this book and think that they are an expert on anything related to survival. This is not what I was looking for personally but I can see the value in this book to someone who is completely new to the subject. I bought this book in its dead tree form because I figured it might be handy to stuff in my pack for reference. This is not one of those books. Just buy it in its ebook format.

Pamphlet, not a book
Super small, and yet not condensed wisdom but lots of fluff and obvious stuff. Felt tricked, better books out there
