If you are on the fence between sizes go larger. I ordered the 63cm but I could see the look and ride of the hat would be better if I got the 64cm and so sent the first back. It's amazing how much 1cm affects the look and fit. Go 1cm larger than normal and put in hat foam to make it fit if needed. The look of a hat is always better if it's diameter rises vertically from the front and back of the cranium, rather than have the look of being forced down to fit.You'll feel like a longshoreman in some early fifties film noir like On the Waterfront. I got a peacoat to go with it.

Wonderfully made hat. I wanted something that wasn't too bulky. Alot of skull caps/beanies seem kinda bulky. Too much fabric. This fits like it was tailored. I went a lil small and there's no stretch so definitely order the correct size. Nice wool too. Not itchy and has a classy look. Very stylish and functional. Not too warm either. I wore it inside for a couple hours and no sweat or discomfort. Wool breaths so it makes sense. I plan to wear it to work were its on average 70 degrees. Should be fine.

I wanted a medium weight, above-the-ear beanie / docker cap. Not many options in a fitted, wool cap of this type. There are some more expensive options (Stetson, Kangol); cheap, Chinese no-name options; many are "fashionable", but not classic and stylish; and most are synthetic blends of the pull-down type, which one pulls down and then folds back up to keep the cap above the ears. The latter typically have some stretch in them, and as a result don't stay in place very well. (On my noggin, they tend to creep up and back, towards the pointiest part of my head.)Enter the Sterkowski Wool Beanie Docker cap. The wool isn't stretchy, so it doesn't pull itself out of position. It fits great due to Sterkowski offering fitted hat sizes, not generic small / medium / large. The design is classic and stylish. The materials and workmanship are very good.Lastly, check out Sterkowski's full range of hats. They have a good selection of classic, stylish hats -- a pleasant contrast to many of the fashion-focused brands that change designs from year to year. Next hat I buy, Sterkowski is my first stop to see if they have whatever it is I'm looking for at the time.

I love hats and a docker hat is hard to find that is well made and distinctive. I love this hat - it is more for the colder months vs. a late spring hat - will need to order another for the warmer seasons! Also my son may steal this one from me I suspect...Also a big shout out to their customer service. Delivery I knew would be on the slow side as the hat comes from Europe. I got a message from the shipper a couple of weeks after ordering of a lost or damaged box at customs. I emailed the seller and they express shipped a replacement to me right away. Very pleased by their responsiveness. Would definitely buy from them again.On sizing, I usually wear a 59 or a 60 in my hats. I got the 60 and it fits well. So given the other comments, I would lean to a larger size if you are on the fence or a tweener. I imagine material also makes a difference - how stretchy the fabric is can also make a difference.

High quality and well-made docker cap. Only drawback is that it shrank when worn during a rainstorm. Best to keep this one dry.

These fit my big head better than the Stetsons.

my singular criticism is the band is broader than in the pictures. my best guesstimate would be by ⅜" to a ¼". it may not sound like much, but I was hoping for that narrower look. (I'm still going to wear the lovin' heck out of it!)that being said, these hats are absolutely exceptional in tailoring, materials, and fit.I've seen lesser hats in all regards selling for $300-$600 at men's high end haberdasheries.my hope is sterkowski starts a school or apprentice program, so this kind of quality isn't lost.if my goofy looking head could pull off more of their styles, I'd buy one of each.I've been asked about this hat every single time I've worn it. if you don't like attention, it's not for you.

I thought it would not happen to me twice. But it did. I received the wrong sizes. I'm starting a collection of beautiful hats that will not fit in my head.
