Nice pen, but go for the Sheaffer 300 instead !
I like to buy nice pens for work ( I buy too many ) and have tried all sorts from parker, waterman, cross and so on, but my favoutite is a Sheaffer 300 fountain pen. Having wasted money on a pilot fountain pen recently, I thought I would buy this one, because being a more expensive version of the Sheaffer 300, it was certain to be a better pen. I'm slightly dissapointed - it leaks ink all over the nib, although it writes ok ( but not as well as the 300 ! ) and it's a lot lighter in weight ( I prefer a slightly heavier pen ). I've now bought another Sheaffer 300 - a cheaper pen in the range, but in my opinion a much better pen !

Pretty pen
Lovely pen. I chose a medium nib and should have gone for fine. Medium is thicker than you expect. This came with ink cartridges and a refillable connector even though it doesn't say this in the description. I nearly bought a refillable cartridge and glad I didn't now. Slightly thinner body than I would like. These are personal points and shouldn't reflect on the quality of the pen.

Great pen but a faulty ink converter
This is a great pen, which is comfortable to use due to its chunky cigar shape. It had a nice smooth nib. Worked great with cartridges but the pen supplied had a faulty converter which leaked ink everywhere and had to be replaced.

I like to use ink pens so thought I would invest ...
I like to use ink pens so thought I would invest in a more expensive pen when my old Parker was worn out. It writes very well but I find that the end gets inky from deposits in the cap and also the black coating comes off with the slightest knock so the pen does not look so good now.

Nice fountain pen
This is my second Sheaffer pen and just like the other one it performs really well. It glides across the page and does not skip. I love the fact that Sheaffer provide a converter as I much prefer to use bottled ink.
