This light is quite bright, both white and green. I did find that it is too much of a spot-light (in all modes) for my preference, and I found some basic plumbing tasks to be difficult because I couldn't see things well without pointing my head directly at them. Aside from that, the light angles quite far up and down, so there is little concern on that note.I have a fairly large head, and even on the largest setting, this light is uncomfortably tight on me. The spandex will stretch over time, but that will also decrease the life-span of my band.The button to turn on/switch light modes is on the back of the main light. The button to release the light from the headband is in front of and under the main light. In order to push the light button, it is natural to grab under the light to allow yourself the necessary pressure.. this will often result in pressing the release button, thereby accidentally detaching your headlamp as you try to turn it on/off.The case is nice. It's great that it takes lithium ion batteries, and you can charge them in the light. The rubber cover over the battery panel would certainly keep out some amount of water.. if you bump it though, it would certainly cease to be waterproof, so I'm not sure I buy that claim. (Rain's probably fine; submerged in salt water would probably be quite bad.)The light's quite heavy both front and back, and has a hard plate both front and back adding some degree of discomfort.All in all, I think you would be better off with a much lighter weight and more versatile light.. but if you need a spot-light with tons of battery life, I expect this would do the trick.

I love these lights. I use mine for shrimping at night on the space coast and they are great for seeing the shrimp eyes at night. The white light is bright for navigation and so are the red lights. I used them for over 6 hrs. last night and they held up great. It takes a good while for them to charge but well worth it... Shipping was fast and a great Co. to buy from... A+

Purchased mine in December 2017. It's now April 2018. I was working great but now for some reason I cannot shut off the two red lights on the side. Should be on the 4th click it shuts off. Up until today, that's how it worked.Now I have to remove the batteries to get it to shut off. completely,The only other complaint I have is that the headband is very uncomfortable on the forehead. Really needs some padding there.

I bought this as a birthday present for my husband (he is a flatbed truck driver) , and he loves it! He says it works awesome and loves that he can switch to the green light if needed. I would tell any truck driver to buy this if they need a head lamp. Also he says he can adjust it to fit his head and his hard hat snugly too.

The headlamp worked fine for about 6 months, then the white LED started having issues. Going in and out unexpectedly. Two months later they don't turn on at all. For such an expensive product, it should last years, not months. While it functioned it was great, but poor lifespan.

Great light. Have had it for a year. Still going strong. I've used it in rain, snow everything. Red light is extremely bright. Allows me to work outside at night in summer without being swarmed by bugs.

Bought these for night racing/sailing a Tarten 10 on Lake Michigan. Perfect for red light/night vision. Very strong. Also a fairly strong white spotlight when needed to illuminate a wide area in a pinch. My only gripe is that they are not as well constructed as my other headlamp that I use for kayaking (my other set does not have the red light). That being said, these are worth the price, work quite well and am pleased with the purchase.

Barely works. Green side lights do not light up. The manual says the charger will be red while charging and green when finished but it's always green. Light only turns on when plugged in. Charged it for an hour before using and nothing
