Omg I luv this case! I have bought so many cases for my galaxy note 9 and have had to return almost all of them I've only found 2 that I like so far & this is def 1 of them! I was hesitant bc I thought it was gonna b bulky bc it is a 2 layer type but it is SUPER slim & soooooo light I cant believe it! It adds no weight at all to my phone! It feels protective tho bc it has the soft rubber inside w/ the hard shell outside PLUS the soft rubber ridges for grip along the back on both sides where u hold it, all around the screen edges and on each of the 4 corners! The glittery effect is inside (not raised) so it won't fall off, doesnt look cheap and it's the same dark mauve as the case (not a silver or other color) so it's not overwhelming or gaudy! The rubbery ridges are just raised enough for a nice grip but do not add any extra bulk or get in the way. The buttons are soft & tactile -no issues. All the ports on the bottom are perfectly easily accessible - no problem accessing the s-pen by pushing it in with my finger nail. I even have a circular magnetic adapter in the charger port and the soft rubber fit right around it w/ no awkwardness at all. The sides are lower to allow full use of the curved screen edges but again they are lined with the soft rubber edge and the top and bottom do have raised lips so I think it is sufficient protection. For my purposes this is about as "rugged" of a case that i need... I need to see if it is thin enough to work with my magnetic car holder if I put just the metal plate inside that is only thing left i need to check but otherwise this is a complete win for me! Obsessed! I wish more cases would b as thin and light as this with as much grip, protection and look as nice!

I liked the cases slim design, non-slip grip and color. My only.oasie is that I only used it for 2.5 months and the small piece near the pen broke. Rest of the case is holding up well, but I'm afraid if I cut that small piece off I will lose protection from drops on that corner. I'm disappointed that the material stretched out there and broke, I rarely use the pen so I believe this to be from normal use of the case when holding it.

I have been buying the Speck cases of this style for the past 5 models of cell phones I've owned. They are absolutely my favorite cases. I use them in combination with tempered glass shields and all my phones are still in brand new condition when I upgrade to a new one, after 2 to 3 years of heavy use and abuse. I highly recommend them for their low profile (Not too thick), but very protective quality and the rubbery grippy-ness that keeps them from sliding around in one's car or slipping out of one's hands.

I had this case for a couple months. After a couple weeks of putting it on, I dropped my phone from my fanny pack which was on my wasit. My phone literally got a little crack on the cornee, and the screen is now glitchy. This is not military grade or drop proof. Not shock proof or anything of the sort. Very disappointed as I expected more from such a reputable brand.
