They are heavy
I bought this cutlery for the weight…I tend to have tremors and the weight of the cutlery really holds my shaking hands steadier..Love them for that. The forks have a different shape ,they are not long tines but shorter and a bit round. The knives cut really well ..The shine on them is amazing..I have a had them in dishwasher at least a dozen times.I bought 1 set for 4 to start..Then got the set for 8 with extra serving pieces.Expensive but for me worth every penny

I'm actually impressed with a set of flatware!
I'm really impressed with the quality and design of this flatware. After over 6 decades of using traditional flatware, the look of the flatware is what gets you first. To some, it may look a little weird, but then you pick it up and use it, and you have that "Ah-Ha!" moment. This flatware is heavy. Like something you would find in a finer dining establishment. In fact, you could probably defend yourself quite nicely with one of the tablespoons. You could knock someone out hitting them in the head with one! However, that's the beauty of these. You feel like you are holding something, and they fit nicely in your hand and seem to be very well balanced. Both the tablespoons and teaspoons feel good in your hand. The design of the spoons makes the tablespoons a great soup spoon as well. The blade on the dinner knives actually have an edge on them! They are by far the sharpest of any dinner knives in previous cutlery sets I have owned. Not overly sharp where mere contact with the edge will cut you, but you can cut meat with these. The forks (or Knorks) are the centerpiece. Use them the first time with something you normally cut with your fork, like a piece of lasagna. The beveled edge of the fork glides through without smashing down your food, plus you have the wider "finger rest" when you are pushing down, which makes it even easier. That feature is actually on every piece. The area where you finger normally sits on a knife, fork or spoon when you are "cutting" with them is wider on these, making it more comfortable.Really happy with this set, and give it my highest recommendation!

A nice gift
I purchased this set as a gift for a friend and have used them several times at her house. They are comfortable to use and have a nice weight.

Recommended for Coordination Issues
These were recommended by an occupational therapist for a family member who cannot easily coordinate cutting food by holding it down with a fork in one hand while cutting with a knife in the other hand due to a neurological issue. With the Knork fork, they can more easily rock the edge of the tine to cut the food into smaller pieces. This gives them the ability to be more independent at meal times and contributes to higher self esteem. And since Knork makes forks, knives, and spoons, it is possible to set the table for everyone using the same flatware...so nobody stands out because they have "different" utensils.

Solid quality!
After much research (especially 18/10 vs. 18/0), I purchased this set and could not be any more delighted. Weighty, solid, easy to grasp, hold & use, I had no problems using this flatware.During my decision making process, I contacted Knork customer service. Their response was immediate, they are helpful and gracious, patiently answering my (seemingly 100!) questions.I've run the pieces through the dishwasher several times (I have a tendency to wash my dishes/silverware to death lol) and they come out looking clean and shiny.Since I'm a little fussy regarding cleaning my silverware, my 'care' is several steps but not time consuming or difficult., I rinse off my utensils immediately after use (I don't allow food to harden/sit on silverware) and soak them in mild soapy water (Dawn) and rinse prior to throwing them in the dishwasher. I also take the silverware out of the dishwasher as soon as I can after the cycle, wipe off all the excess water with a soft cotton towel and allow them to air dry for a bit before tossing them in the drawer.I DID run "quality control tests" on these when I got them, doing everything the Care Instructions say NOT do do, like soak them for a long period of time, not cleaning off the food immediately, etc. While I DO NOT RECOMMEND running these 'tests', I encountered no problems!I couldn't be happier with this flatware and I know I'll enjoy them for many years to come!
