P-38 Can Opener

Description

This is the original P-38 that was included in cases of C-Rations during WWII and through the Vietnam War. During the 1980 DOD adopted the P-51 a slightly larger version. While the P-51 is still on the DOD supply list, its mission became mostly obsolete when the military adopted "Meals Ready to Eat" (MRE's) with tear open pouches.
