Super strong
I’ve had several badge reels for work and I have a lot on my badge and these hold up great! No droopy reel. Downside is that they don’t offer an alligator clip back.

Dramatic drop in production and durability.
These used to be a lot better, but they've dropped in production quality in 2024. They used to be made of durable metal, and withstood a lot of retraction and use. The most recent version of these is made partly of plastic rather than metal, and the cord felt much more flimsy. Sure enough, I went through all four of them in just three months time (March 19 2024 to June 26)The previous batch of four, I'd received in April 2021, and they lasted until March 2024. I'd stay away from these now.
