Great one-nighters for CoC
If you enjoy Call of Cthulhu RPG, this book should be a no-brainer. Some great one or two-nighters. Tightly written with intriguing story-lines. Recommended.

Good collection of scenarios for Call of Cthulhu newbies and experienced alike
Getting three decent scenarios for twenty bucks is a steal and this is one collection CoC players should definitely check out. Although these scenarios are intended for new keepers and investigators, experienced players will enjoy them, too. Each one can be played in an evening without much difficulty, but you can do more with all three very easily. The first, The Necropolis, could be incorporated into the Egyptian section of Masks of Nyarlathotep (new or older versions) as a side adventure without difficulty. The third, the Dead Boarder, meantime, could very easily be developed into the opening of a campaign -- the adventure hook is very good. While experienced players will probably find the second scenario, What's in the Cellar? a little basic (it's also the least lethal), it's nonetheless an evening's entertainment and seasoned keepers could tweak it a little and incorporate it into a campaign. The only thing I found a little odd was that not one of the three scenarios required library rolls, which, for CoC, borders on heresy. It's interesting how 7e CoC has concentrated on attracting people new to role-playing games. Back in the dark ages of gaming, it was more or less assumed that people came to CoC -- or any other rpg -- from D&D. As a consequence, CoC campaigns didn't provide much guidance for beginners. The box set, Doors to Darkness and this collection, all aimed at new players, demonstrate a welcome change in approach. While I'm lukewarm towards 7e CoC's habit of consistently providing pre-generated characters for every scenario (creating your own characters is part of the fun, surely), I suspect this helps newbies as well. The 7th edition's "wokeness", however, continues. We're told in every single scenario that, with respect to the pre-gen characters, "each investigator is gender neutral, allowing the players to decide whether they wish to play a male, female or non-binary character." Thanks, Chaosium. I'm sure none of us would have known what to do with the characters if you hadn't told us that. Unfortunately, this appeasement of the woke hoard won't, in the end, save CoC from their malign attention. H.P. Lovecraft was simply too insanely politically incorrect for that.Having written that, I notice the traditional picture of the old boy is missing and that his name is nowhere to be found in here. Hmmm...
