Some Good Ingredients-But Has Alcohol & Doesn’t Hydrate Enough Or Help Dark Circles
Amorepacific Moisture Bound Rejuvenating Eye Treatment Gel Cream promises “rich hydration” and claims to be able to minimize the appearance of dark circles and puffiness for a revitalized, youthful look. This feels like an ultra lightweight eye gel that’s pleasing in the sense it dries quickly and has a non greasy matte finish. There’s no need to wait before applying my makeup. But this eye gel feels too lightweight, and I don’t feel or see any noticeable benefits. At a minimum, I’d expect to get adequate hydration (perhaps even plumping from sodium hyaluronate) and a comfortable feeling, but I don’t get either. This gel also fails to help my dark circles, though in fairness mine are difficult to address and few products make a noticeable difference.I’m in my late 50’s with dry, sensitive skin. I don’t get a rash from this gel, but my skin gets a burning feeling. It may be the chemical fragrance, but I suspect it’s the alcohol as it’s the 7th ingredient on a long list. Per Paula Begoun, non fatty alcohol is bad for the natural barrier of the skin no matter what skin type and is a “pro-aging” (rather than anti-aging) ingredient. I see no reason to start adding alcohol to my regimen at this point. This gel does have some potentially beneficial dry skin ingredients, such as sodium hyaluronate, beta glucan, glycerin, vitamin E, butylene glycol and soybean seed extract. Also, for reducing discoloration, it has niacinamide and acetyl glucosamine (though I’ve read “n-acetyl glucosamine” is best). Most ingredients with available data rate low risk per EWG, though a few rate moderate risk and fragrance rates high risk. While this gel has some good low risk ingredients, many alcohol free eye treatments provide me superior hydration and benefits. 3 stars.

Thick Gel Texture, Hydrating, Fragranced
In my humble opinion, this is not suitable for the skin around the eyes solely because AmorePacific is notorious for adding fragrance to most of their products, including eye-creams. Why would you fragrance an eye cream? It is going to be applied to the most sensitive skin of the face. Oftentimes, added fragrance or essential oils are going to be sensitizing to the skin. I think added fragrance in skincare, in general, is unnecessary. Especially so in eye care. Otherwise, this Moisture Bound Rejuvenating Eye Treatment Gel has a lovely texture and the packaging is bathroom vanity worthy. Not a fan of jars though. I wish this had been packaged in a tube to limit air exposure and making it easier to dispense. The first ingredient listed is bamboo water (PBJ). It rates a 1 on cosmetic toxicity and allergy scores (which is good). Thereafter we have a mix of dimethicone, water, squalane, niacinamide, hydrolyzed Camellia Sinensis leaf (green tea), soybean extract, caffeine, etc...I would use this if not for the floral fragrance AP likes to add. I wish the AP-brand specifically had a line exclusively for those with sensitive skin that did not include fragrance at all. Some of their subsidiary beauty brands (IOPE, Etude House), as they are a corporate conglomerate of Korean skincare, do.There are fragrance-free, gentle, better formulated, better-packaged eye creams, in larger amounts, for half or a third as much in terms of price point and quality out there. When it comes to AP, you are paying for the prestige of a luxury beauty brand.

High end eye cream that earns the price tag.
So I ended up being lucky enough to order a number of items from Amorepacific through the Vine program. I am a 50 year old man that has been fighting my age with a good face care regiment for about a decade now. I have used or use stuff from Kiehls, Brickell, Phace, Neutrogena, and a bunch of others I have found over the years. This is my first time using this product line and I was more than a little curious why they were priced so high. Amorepacific describes their process as handcrafted. They own their own green tea farm on a Korean Island. Their claim is that their use of high end ingredients, meticulously crafted and cultivated, make for better products. Call me skeptical.Let me say unequivocally that this is really great eye cream. There are others out there that I think are on par but, after a week of using this, the difference is noticeable. Eye cream tends to be expensive but a little goes a long way and that's the case here. It goes on cool, leaves the skin around your eyes feeling great, and does real work on your wrinkles and dark spots. Of the products I received from Amorepacific, I think this is their best value. At $85, it is in line with other high end eye creams and I doubt you will find a better one. Call me a big fan. I am a skeptic no more. Well done to the Amorepacific team here!

Expensive but highly rated
AMOREPACIFIC is a South Korean beauty and is the world's 12th cosmetics company. They've also been around since 1945. You may have heard of Sephora which is also them.Key ingredient is bamboo sap which grows on a magical island in South Korea free from war with unicorns and candy streets. The goal is to minimize puffiness dark circles, which AMOREPACIFIC also has another related productAMOREPACIFIC Intensive Vitalizing Eye Essence Serum Treatment, 0.5 Fl OzThe treatment gel isn't greasy and depuffs (very quickly) and smooths the face. It also helps with dark circles under the eyesWhile this is very expensive, the key to the price be realistic is to stretch out the product to last as long as possible bringing the price down. Just a little will work. This is a very highly rated product on other sites with 100s of reviews.
