PRESENTATIONThe rubber headband arrives in a cardboard box (Picture 1), whose colours match those of Petzl Pixa 1, 2 and 3 headlamp models to which this band is an accessory. Please, note that the product is “Made in Malaysia”, while the lamp itself is manufactured in France.PROS1. The rubber headband (Picture 2, item A) is offered as a replacement for the standard elastic band (Picture 2, item B), included with the purchase of the headlamp models mentioned above. The reasons why you might want an alternative are:• The elastic band will get dirty over time and it might be damaged if you wash it too often. It is quicker and safer to wash the rubber headband and the lamp (which is water-resistant) without the need to even disassemble them.• If you have a helmet, using the standard elastic band is not ideal, as it will slip. The rubber one offers a more secure fit.2. The band is thick, rugged and durable.3. It is especially useful in damp environments.CONS1. The material of the rubber band attracts dust and dirt like a magnet (Pictures 2 and 3). The same is true of the black rubber material of the headlamp.2. At 55 grams (Picture 4), the rubber band is heavier than the standard one, which weighs just 31 grams (Picture 5). The combined weight of the rubber headband (Picture 4) and Pixa 3 (Picture 6) is 190 grams, which is considerably heavier than almost any other headlamp-plus-band combination currently sold.3. The band has a plastic clasp at the back with the two rubber ends sticking out of it (Picture 7). This does not look too aesthetically pleasing or comfortable, if the rubber band is used without a helmet.4. With the rubber band attached, Pixa 3 becomes too big to fit in the Petzl Carry Pouch for Pixa Headlamps (Picture 8). The rubber band simply takes too much space inside the pouch.CONCLUSIONThis is a great product, designed specifically for the Pixa 1, 2 and 3 headlamp models, when worn on a helmet. For that purpose, it is perfect.Using the band directly on skin or hair will cause some sweating and discomfort. The weight of the band and lamp combination is higher than that of most similar products currently sold.Nevertheless, I feel that this rugged and durable headband deserves top rating and it is a recommended buy.

Acheté pour remplacer le bandeau de ma lampe frontale Led Lenser H7 complètement distendu avec le temps, celui-ci bien qu'un peut plus large s'est merveilleusement adapté aux passants de ma lampe frontale.En utilisation pour le travail sur un casque de chantier, celui-ci présente aussi l"avantage d'avoir une meilleure adhérence qu'un bandeau en tissus.Enfin, le caoutchouc me semble beaucoup plus hygiénique que le tissus qui s'imbibe de sueur et se nettoie très mal.Pour le coup un simple chiffon avec de l'alcool à 90 est excellent.Je ne puis que recommander!

Very good. I use my head torch and work under trains and in confined spaces, stays in place when wet or knocked. Perfect for the job.
