This is our 9 year old daughter's favourite book right know

My 10yo son and I both read this book in a day. It's such a fun mix of suspense and action, humor, and real life messy/awkward tween situations. We loved that the characters were based on real geniuses and after reading, my kiddo spent time looking up more information on their namesakes, especially Grace O'Malley because we didn't know much about her.The mixed gendered cast of geniuses (four girls, three boys) helps appeal to readers and provides a great, realistic view of how kids in middle school form friendships. Plus - it's always fun to have kids band together to defeat evil adults . :)

This was a great book. My 8 year old girl love it and we ended up getting the second one too.

Our 2nd grader devoured this book!
