This camera has a lot of potential but just not there yet. The supplier was prompt and nice answering my questions. So if in the future the software get fix this may very easy be one of the best doorbell cameras in the market!

Easy installation, awesome picture, and extremely easy to use!!! This outdoor wifi doorbell has made a wonderful addition to the home. With not having a peephole in the door to see we needed an added sense of security before opening the door. This does just that and has so many more features. Want to see who comes to your door when you are not home? Boom this can make that happen. Need to take a still shot, boom this can make that happen! Being a 720P, I was a little hesitant of how the quality of the picture would be but to my surprise the picture is clear and the intercom is clear also with no background noise. Very happy with this purchase. I did receive the Metal Outdoor WiFi Doorbell at a discounted price for my honest and unbiased opinion.

On paper, this doorbell was really impressing me. I currently have a skybell and this has a lot of features the skybell doesn't like recording video even when you don't open the app to talk to your visitor and duplexing (though I kinda prefer push to talk so I can limit what the person on the other end hears, it's still a nice option). I also think it looks more like a true security device than something like the skybell. If I were able to get this up and running, maybe I'd be happy with it, but installing it is just too problematic. Just look at the picture. Does that LOOK like an easy install?? It requires an external, plug in power source for Pete's sake! Just like the clown that gave this a 5 star rating and said it was easy to install, I too received it at a discount to review it. However comma *pause for effect* unlike him, I actually AM writing an honest, unbiased review. If the description had said that 1) it was a difficult install requiring drilling INTO your house 2) that it required an external, plug in power supply and 3) that it didn't connect to your existing doorbell so when people pressed the button, your inside doorbell won't ring, only on your phone, then I wouldn't be slamming this so hard, but it says RIGHT in the description: "It is easy and quick to install. The user manual is pretty clear and complete both in installation/setting up/operation". Speaking of that, the user manual is NOT clear. Not only is it in broken english, it doesn't tell you how to actually install it! Check out the pic I attached of the user manual. The page on the left is the ONLY instruction on how to physically install it. There's a lot of info about setting it up, but you have to install it to set it up! Another gripe I have is that it doesn't work with 5GHz frequencies in the Wi-Fi spectrum. Not a huge deal, since I'm not using it anyway, but still annoying. Anyway, bottom line is this is a complicated install and they don't even tell you how to do it. If I had known this to start with I never would have ordered it. I'm pretty bummed about it, because I was really looking forward to using this and seeing if it held up to its claims.

First off you should have a previous doorbell setup before purchasing this otherwise you'll be doing some drilling. The product does exactly what it says and comes with some pretty cool features, but depending on your previous set up you may never use them. Everything goes through the app and the product comes with a step by step manual although the wiring part is kinda hard to read, but it's simple enough. Everything works great as long as everything is connected properly, there seems to be a sight lag but other than that this is a great product
