NKT Baby Products Adjustable Length Cabinet Latches, Grey

We purchased these to use on the dresser drawers. Prior to installing these locks it was a real nightmare.... As soon as our baby saw us opening dresser drawers she rushed over and started pulling out all the clothing out of the drawers very quickly. We needed a fix ASAP.These locks turned out to be the perfect solution. We installed several of them on each drawer going around the corner and also 1 on the drawer and the dresser door. Perfect!!We installed these overnight so that they would have some time to stick thoroughly. The installation and cutting the locks to size was super easy. The locks function well and the construction makes a lot of sense. There is no way my 1 year old would be able to open these any time soon.The product feels sturdy and high quality.The only downside is that it is tricky to open them even for a parent. Opening drawers is no longer quick and easy. It's a process. I guess that's how it should be with something that is childproofed.

These safety locks work really well and I was happy with how easy they were to install. I have had them on my cabinets for a little over a month now and they have successfully kept my twin boys out of the cupboards. I am giving four stars because occasionally the locked end will pop open, but it is easy to just lock it back into place. I think this happens because I placed the ends too far apart on the cabinet doors causing too much tension. Just be aware of this when placing them on your cabinets. There needs to be a little bit of slack in order for both ends to stay locked and in place. Overall it I am happy with this product.

Having a child puts many parents on the path to find items to child safe their house.I ended up using the NKT Baby Products Child Safety Locks to add extra and much needed security for an infant walk through gate. The gate didn't give me confidence in preventing my smarter than average child from opening the gate, but thankfully the Child Safety Locks from NKT Baby Products did. So far the adhesive has held up as well. I have these folded down to perhaps their maximum ability, which means they are folded or looped back to quite a bend and the adhesive and the plastic has held up. I need to take pictures and upload so you can see what I mean (hopefully in a week from this post).Product is easy to modify as well and easy enough for older kids and adults to use, but hopefully complex enough for bright toddlers to not defeat.NKT Baby Products also has great communication and tries to make sure you are happy with the product.

These were easy to install, easy to open, and seemed to work well. For about (literally) 2.5 minutes. I opened and closed a few times to try out and then came back in a moment and opened again to find that the cabinet beheads the latch if you accidentally let the fixed side close before the side that opens. The latch will hang over the empty opening and then the cabinet will behead the latch. Freaking irritating. I used a surgical towel clamp to be able to open the butt end and replace the latch and its strap. It only happened again, despite my tender care, 2 days later. This happened for all the cabinet style ones, one by one, over about 3 days despite great care. Then the corner cabinets started breaking one by one. Either they also get beheaded or the latch just breaks. Now I have 8 or so of these damn things installed that I will need to try and heat off (1 minute of hairdryer did NOT work at all to remove adhesive) when I get a break from chasing the baby around trying to keep her out of the cabinets. How the 70-odd other reviewers did not have this problem is beyond me. I realized in retrospect that I could try to make them longer but I had already installed them and am very hesitant to try again for the regular cabinets. The corner cabinets just won't work with this product, I don't think.

I haven't had these long, but so far so good! I love the fact that you can cut them to the size you need.Our baby girl is all over our living room floor and I needed these for a set of drawers under the TV. There is still a little bit of give in them when they are mounted and I can open the drawer a little..however, my baby cannot open them any more so they are doing their job perfectly.They were really easy to apply and the adhesion on them seems solid.Overall, I am really pleased with them.

I like the quality of these. They seem to hold very firmly. My toddler has not been able to open a cabinet yet, and he's a pretty strong little dude! The only thing holding me back from 5 stars is the price. I purchase them for $29.99 and now see the price has jumped even higher. Ridiculous for what they actually are, and I can only imagine it's because of the 3m sticky tape on them. They seem to command a high price for their products. We'll see how well my cabinets fare after I have to remove them.

So far, so good. I'm searching for the perfect baby proof product.Pros- Doesn't depend on a certain style of knobs. The last type I tried fit over the knobs, but mine weren't thick enough to hold it properly. No drilling required. (combo of laziness and desire not to harm cabinets) Works even with my raised edge style of cabinetsCons- Still leaves a little gap for small fingers to stick in and then get smashed.

These locks work well. They are easy to use and stick well so far. It's important to clean the cupboard door first with rubbing alcohol before sticking them on. I did find the instructions on the packaging confusing as to how to shorten the plastic band. I could not 'press the grey button in' and ended up using the end of a knife to release the catch. Anyhow, that aside, the locks are keeping my baby out of the cupboards. They are also easy for my husband and I to open.
