My beard is long and scraggly enough that the usual oil and balm combo doesn't cut it any more. This stuff does the trick. It's heavy, like really heavy which suits my long and wiry beard fine but it my not suit someone with more well behaved facial hair.

I believe I received a used product. You can clearly see in the picture, someone had there fingers in it. Still thinking if I should reorder.

The description describes the scent as "a light sandalwood fragrance with just a hint of vanilla". Well the sandalwood is prominent and the vanilla is overwhelming. 8 hours after application all I can smell is "cupcakes". This is a scent for teenage girls, not men.Otherwise it does a decent but not great job of softening my beard. Maybe it would be better if I used more, but even the small portion I added is intolerable to my nose. I will not be using this again.

Some people are sensitive to the common shampoo ingredient sodium laurel sulfate, and this product fortunately does not contain it. It leaves my hair clean and fresh, and a small amount is sufficient to work. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for with this higher quality product.
