Mcbazel Aluminum Alloy Metal Analog Thumbstick for Xbox ONE Black (Set of 2)

As others have mentioned, this product is NOT aluminum alloy. Thanks to those reviews, I was expecting plastic, and that's what I got. The sellers could fix the inaccurate description in a minute, and should have done long ago. It tells you that they're pretty dishonest for the simple fact that they have allowed this gross misrepresentation to continue uncorrected for a good long time.And yet, I really didn't care. If they'd accurately described it as plastic, I would still have bought. What I DO care about is the shoddy nature of the product -- THAT I was not expecting. The originals from Microsoft are plastic with a rubberized top coating (anti-slip). This manufacturer was too cheap or incompetent to do that. But even worse, they do NOT fit quite right. So the thumb toggle is now "sticky," and thus not re-centering itself properly. I'm keeping and using them anyhow because I need the controller to work NOW, and these do just enough to make that happen. This problem probably won't affect most players, but serious players likely will be super annoyed.

In my photo, I have this pair of sticks next to the stock Xbox One pair. Might be a bit tough to see in this photo, but the hole that attaches the stick to the controller, it is supposed to be a flat sided oval shape, but with these... it is almost a complete circle.The tolerances are way off. You don't get a satisfying "squish" when they are installed, it just falls on (and falls off just as easily). There is all sorts of play in the sticks. They are just a bad quality item. Maybe I got a dud, but if so their quality control must've been on break while these things went out the door.

These took quite a while getting used to, especially with aggressive gameplay when your thumb develops moisture on it. But it has paid off now that I'm used to it and I know these will outlast the console or controller. I also agree with another reviewer about the fitment is barely loose so I just wedged a tiny piece of plastic bag on it upon installation.I would recommend this buy only if you play extensive hours where you'd go through another rubber thumbstick in a heartbeat. If you're an occasional player, pick the stock rubber.

As long as you're using this for the Xbox One, it should be fine. (I also had luck installing these in a DualShock 3).Please note, the PS4 and Xbox 360 controller thumbsticks have a slightly wider base, and so these don't work perfectly for those controllers.

I love these!I replaced the original thumbstick of my Special Edition Forza 6 controller with orange plastic ones and they were nice but over time the color started to fade as well as the rubber on top. My controller also had a defect that came with a somehow sharp edge so after a while it carbed into the steam and you could feel the carbing when you moved the stick around.Then these came... The fit is perfect, didn't have to make a selfmade change to adjust the hight or fit of it. It is extremely nice to the touch and very confortable. I live in a cold place so it could be a little bit cold to the touch at first but nothing that would make it unconfortable.Also, they are going to last as much as the controller does and the sharp edge will not damage the stick stem.So I'd suggest you get these straight away.

The thumbsticks in the photo are not what I was sent. From my research on Amazon, there are two models of metal thumbsticks, and these are the *other* model, not the one in the product photo (I own a set of the type in their product photo and bought these to get a black pair). You can see in my top-down photo that the rim is thinner and the center area is a bit bigger. Also from side view, you can see that the bottom corner of the cap is square, while the expected model has a rounded bottom corner.This all would have been fine, but to add insult to injury, the holes on the underside that are supposed to press fit over the joystick shaft are a tad too large and allows it to move freely up and down. It's not obvious that the holes are too big, but trust me, they are too big.DON'T BUY THIS if you're expecting what you see in the photo / expect it to fit snuggly.

They push to far down and get stuck. My controller is not broken, it works fine with the cheap ones I bought. I wanted an upgrade and these suck, and they are not eligible for return either. The base were the stick plugs in is bored out to much. 0 stars if I could

A must.....ive swapped these out on my Xbox and ps4 controllers for years with these and honestly think they are the best thing to swap the thumb sticks with. Ive swapped them out for customers also and they stay cool 2 the touch and don't wear really

These fit fine into the old style Xbox One controllers, take about 5 minutes to replace the old ones so long as you have a T8 Torx and a spudger for getting the grips off.However, I'm only giving them 4 stars because although they're a really good price, particularly for being aluminium rather than plastic, the actual thumbstick caps are super slippy, and the textured ring doesn't stop that being the case.Probably be fine for games where there's not a lot of stick movements, but for things like FPS games these could be an issue. Going to try roughing them up a little bit with some high grit emery cloth, hopefully that will help.

I bought these to replace my now very worn, stock, rubber thumbsticks and I couldn't be happier with them!Build quality is surprisingly good for the price and I'm expecting these to last a long time due to being aluminium as opposed to rubber sticks.The process for fitting these is very simple too. To anyone purchasing, I suggest looking up the dismantle guides on ifixit.com for some help.

The original plastic ones broke and with a next day delivery I knew it wouldn't be long for my son to wait to get on his games again.The good news was the items turned up on time and felt alot better than the original plastic controller buttons.The bad news is the center circle is to large and therefore the fitting onto the module is not complete meaning it just wobbles all over the place (like the snapped plastic ones).If they fitted perfectly the stars would have been a 4 or 5.

got these for my daughters controller as her rubber had degraded over the years.. You do need a little but of experience on how to take the controllers apart and the correct tools - however you can get the tools cheap and a simple Youtube search will sort you out..the metal construction is much better than the plastic and has a premium feel.

Good quality but poor design, hence the 2 stars. Far too slippy to use for any game requiring fast movement such as Rocket League. The knurled grip is only on the outter surface, not where your thumbs rest.
