Unlock Learning the Fun Way
These locks are inviting to my grandchildren. The younger ones match dots with numbers while the older readers match the words with the numbers. They love this and play with it every visit. The locks are well made and sturdy. The keys are loose, so I divided them between two large key rings just to keep up with them. This has worked well. I noticed that the preschool has something similar, so I feel that this purchase is a beneficial one for early learning. I envision them being used in the future in little escape rooms that I will set up for them.

great gift idea!
I really like these numbered locks and keys. We purchased them as a gift for our grandchildren and the kids have gotten a lot of benefit from playing with them. The family should have figured out a better way to store them, however, as the pieces got hard to locate after they had them awhile and I had to order another set which I then only took to their house whenever I would visit so we could keep track of all 10 locks and 10 keys. The photo of them online is a little deceptive if you don't look closely. I kinda thought the locks numbered up to 20, but if you look closely it's just showing the two different sides of each lock and it does accurately describe this set as a 1-10 piece numbered set. I would definitely purchase again, and may in the future, if I ever have need for another child's birthday gift.

Good, but hard for the littler kids to work on their own
This set is nice and pretty. I loved it at first, but over time realized that they are somewhat hard to unlock. I even had trouble sometimes unlocking them. Younger kids will definitely need a little help getting these open. I love the concept and the kids love finding the matching lock. They just can be difficult to unlock.

2 year old granddaughter loves these
Makes my 2 year old granddaughter feel like a big girl with the “same” locks as pa pa. We put them all around the house. She is able to figure out which key goes with which lock. Since the word it written out on the lock and the number is on the key, some 2 year olds may have a problem figuring it out without an adult or older sibling helping. Key goes in easily and a 2 year old can turn it without help.

Great for Play Based Assessment
I have a child in my class that I did not know if he could identify numbers. He does not like me pointing to numbers on a paper and asking him to tell me what they are. I introduced the lock and keys at a small table. I observed him choose the correct key to match each lock. I circled them on my assessment paper because he knows them. These are well made and sturdy. This was great because now I understand what play based assessment means. As a side note, I tossed him shape bean bags and he knew them!! This was an engaging toy for all of the students as well.

Kindergarten wonder!!
My kindergarteners love learning locks, and these were the best priced ones I’ve found! These are great for associating a numeral with a specific amount and/or spelling. This is a ready to go classroom activity.
