Great Story for Those Who Love Books
Ralfy loves books so much that he sneaks into houses to read books. When that isn’t enough, Ralfy starts stealing the books! Arthur loves books, too! His shelves are filled with books. But soon, he starts noticing that there are gaps between his books along with half-eaten carrots. When Arthur sets up surveillance, he sees the thief in action! When Arthur’s mom and teacher don’t believe his story about a bunny book thief, Arthur calls the police. Can Arthur help Ralfy put his thieving ways behind him and still maintain his love of books? I’m sure you can guess what happens, but there’s more to the story than you think! This story is perfect for my fellow bookworms and it can be shared any time of year. I first stumbled upon this book in our local library, and quickly knew I needed to add this one to my own book collection. Not only is this book entertaining, but the illustrations really add to the story. It would be a great addition to a classroom or home library.

A little confusing for (moral) younger readers
Very funny read, but a little confusing for my 3 year old. She wasn't sure why the hero was a thief and it seems a little unclear that from Rolfy's perspective that stealing is actually wrong (in the end Rolfy gets something a reward, not a punishment). For my older kid, she gets it - just be prepared for a bit of a chat about why robbery isn't nice at the end.

Nice Illustrations, Lacking in Wit.
The pictures are great, but the storyline is lacking. I was hoping for a book that was laugh-out-loud-funny. Something similar in wit to the Oliver Jeffers book: The Great Paper Caper. But, this book did not even come close. My 3-year-old wasn't thrilled with it either, he said that we should donate it.I also take issue that none of the adults in the story believed the little boy when he told them what he suspected was happening with his books being stolen. My personal fear is that after reading this my son will internalize that adults don't trust children and won't come to me for fear that he won't be believed. The author of this book is a freelance illustrator & graphic designer. That is probably why the pictures are cute, but the writing is severely lacking.

Cute story for children who love books
Adorable book about a voracious reader who has to find a better way to satisfy his needs. Really fun and introduces the concept of using the library.. Will be giving this to an avid child reader as a gift.

Great story
Created lots of great discussions. Underlying theme that you shouldn't just take other people's things just because you want & enjoy it. Portrays this in a way even 4 yr olds understand. Entertaining way to teach right & wrong. Highly recommend. They were wrapped up in the story & what happened to him

Excellent story, captivating illustrations
Excellently written and a refreshing read. Not only is the story entertaining but the illustrations have many hidden little extras if you look closely. I bought two copies as presents after initally reading the story myself. Highly recommend this book and look forward to seeing more books from this author soon.
