Top pot will hold 6 cups to the top

My pot is not a double boiler. It has a smooth bottom but I don't know what a glass cooktoo is so I can't answer that part of your question.

Q: What is the capacity of the top pot?

It says it's a 2 quart pot so that sounds like four cups to me.
