Fun, but not enough
I am so glad I ordered additional beads at the time I ordered this kit, as my daughter really wanted the Pikachu they had in their advertising. I just used their beads, and you can see in the picture they didn't provide nearly enough. Since I enjoy this activity, I knew this little kit wouldn't be enough. I filled out the remaining Pikachu with beads from another provider that match the color. I really like the very sturdy box these came with, and of course the board. They melted consistently and evenly, and there wasn't noticable variance in the height or diameter of the beads (unlike the other set I got to supplement this set).We were also able to make a Stitch figure, supplementing with black from the other set of beads I got. The rest of the set was good. Can't say how it compares to the brand name Perler beads as I've yet to use those, but we are happy with our purchase. My four year old enjoys making designs and seeing them permanently set. We made a bunch of snowflake ornaments of different colors, and it was a fun mother/daughter activity.

For creative minds you can't go wrong buying these
I had these kinda beads when I was little and spent hours making designs at my grandmas house. I dont think I ever got bored with them! Anyway I've been looking for a craft for my 6&7 yr olds, since theyre always online. As soon as I found these I was happy because I had a feeling they'd love them....& that they did! I hate buying toys I think they'll like & find out they don't, so i was relieved. We spent HOURS making tons of designs with them, even their dad was making them too. We almost ran out of beads so i ended up buying a bucket & more pegboard things. They still will stop what they're doing if I bring the kitchen out on the table. If your kids are creative or like designing things these are a super good idea! We made a mobile for their new baby niece too so you can use them to make other larger,projects also. Good buy! 😁

Colors are off
This was a great value for the money. However, if you wan5 your beads to match, the colors are all slightly off from other brands. They are more rubbery than the name brand beads but it does not affect the end product. These are not compatible with the bead pen. They do not feed into the pen and it causes it to jam. If you’re new to fuse beads, this is a great set to start with. Also the beads are separated so that is a major plus!

Good beads, bad organizer
The beads themselves are great. My kids loved them. The organizer they come in is subpar. The sides don’t always stay hooked, so you can be walking with the case and suddenly one comes undone and there are beads everywhere. I tried ordering a second unit to see if we’d have better luck but it came with a broken container and beads already spilled into the box.

Pieces break easily
The clear plastic piece that you place the beads onto was broken upon receipt. I didn’t think it would affect the crafting process but now it’s broken in multiple places. The set of plastic tweezers both broke during our first use. Cheaply made.
