This eraser it’s easier to use than toothpicks when you need to scrape paint from a mishap on your ceramic piece.

I 'm an amateur painter and my instructor recommended this tool. I use it to remove oil paint from the canvas when I make a mistake. It wipes the canvas clean of the old, unwanted paint, going down to the bare canvas so I can repaint the area with the correct color or shapes without mixing the two paints together. It works better than using a pallet knife because it gets down to the bare are canvas cleanly. I have a tendency to begin again after after an error by painting over with new paint which mixes the new paint with the old, resulting in a muddy looking color. Now, I can use the tool to start over so I can lay down the new paint on bare canvas. My paintings look brighter and clearer now. I can't recommend it enough.

I use these for an alternative purpose. I like to add raised stencils on some of my furniture painting projects using spackle. Occasionally the spackle will get in the wrong areas or I will miss a spot. Hand applying spackle to the missing spots doesn't work and cleaning it up when it smears a bit in the detailed areas is impossible. I saw these and decided to give them a try. They work perfectly cleaning up mis-placed spackle in the details and applying minute amounts of spackle in missed detailing. These are wonderful and clean up easily. They're also very well balanced and comfortable to hold for extended periods of time. They are absolutely perfect and help my projects come out just the way I want.

I'm learning to paint in oil. So I make a lot of ... well, I don't call them mistakes ... let's call them opportunities for learning. Maybe I went outside the border, or that is REALLY not the right color. This rubber thingie wipes that mistake, I mean opportunity, right off the canvas. If i need to clean up a narrow like it's great. There are two tips, one kind of round and pointy and one flat and pointy and i have plenty of "opportunities" to use both. I wish I had found this years ago. It will be a permanent part of the art arsenal now.
