CHECK SIZE CHART CAREFULLY
Sockwa has a totally unique sizing system. Based on reviews elsewhere I ordered my normal size and they were way too small. I should have looked closer at the size chart. Even at the proper size the toe box seemed like it might be a bit confining so for now I am not re-ordering. Buy shoes that allow your toes to spread out so forces don't deform your foot and gradually dislocate your own joints. Check out Katy Bowman's book Whole Body Barefoot for a detailed explanation.

Sockwa G
I've have several foot surgeries over the past few years and find ANY sneaker becomes extremely uncomfortable after walking in them for awhile. I also was recently diagnosed with CVI (chronic venous insufficiency) and had to wear horrible compression stockings whenever I walked anywhere, was is frequently, as I'm car-less by choice! Wearing these barefoot-type shoes forces the user to re-train their walking style-using the front of the foot instead of the heavy heel-strike most running/training shoes promote. Although I am going to have laser surgery also, these shoes are wonderful for the time being, until I'm able to "graduate" to a five-finger styel!

Needed a size larger than usual!
FYI I'm usually a size 8 wide in women's - sometimes 8.5. I ordered an 8 in the Sockwa G-HI, and it was way too small. There is a sizing chart on the size of the box (see picture) and it looks like a 9 would fit me better. The materials are excellent quality, and I'm looking forward to getting a larger pair!

Will not hold up for beach sports
Bought a pair for the North American Sand Soccer Championship. After one hour of light pratice, the toes blew out. They are comfortable,(you do feel like you're bare footed) and the sole is great. However, they are just not rugged enough for beach soccer. If beach soccer is your game, buy socks that specifically designed for the game.

I love these shoes
I love these shoes. It's like being barefoot with protection. A little pricey and I had to get a size 12 to fit my size 10 foot.

I already purchased the $40 version and got what I expected. Blew a hole in the ball of my foot area after a lot of miles. I knew that but it lasted a lot longer than I expected I regularly use my sand socks so I wanted something way more durable. If had them for awhile and put at least 20miles in the sand on them and they still look brand new. They're expensive but well worth the longevity!
