Sex was good for this couple; not sure about the chemistry
I have to confess I've been reading quite a bit of Intrigue books lately, so I'm not used to not having some sort of crime involved in a romance.Liam is an alpha male who is trying so hard to NOT be what his father was like, he's closed himself off from having a life. Then a 60s type woman by the name of Zoe enters his hotel and he instantly throws caution to the wind. Living in the moment as she does all along feeling she's lying to him and holding secrets. Yes, she's holding secrets, but the "biggie" at the end of the book really wasn't a big deal so I don't understand her reluctance to open up to him completely.Zoe is a fun loving woman who seems to turn her emotions with Liam on and off at the snap of her finger. She's angry with him one minute kicking him out of her room after sex to missing seeing him the next morning. For alpha man Liam, I found it hard for him to accept this erratic behavior from her, no matter how good the sex is.Their story was cute. The family members Zoe did meet stood up for Liam (thank goodness!). Yes, he can be an ass, a control freak, but they tell her he sacrificed a lot to take on the head of the family when his father disappeared. Her constantly getting angry with him when he had questions was a bit ridiculous for me. Her last angry moment with him was a bit over the top. She was keeping secrets! How was he supposed to know he was speaking out of turn when he was just trying to help her? Zoe seemed a little too flaky for a man like Liam, but they seemed to kiss and make up with little fanfare at the end.An ok read.

If you love a good romance story that involves hot alpha males, and a few good laughs....this is the book for you!
I really liked this book....A LOT!!! It was lots of fun & really hot!!! The story line is fantastic, and I love the way this author writes. So much so, that I just downloaded all the available books in this series.I loved the on-going banter throughout the story between Liam & Zoe. They were like night and day....but somehow it just worked. I've learned in life... never to judge a book by it's cover, so to speak. And that's the case with these two, too. Liam always acted so serious and uptight, but we learn that there's a lot more to him after Zoe suddenly walks into his life. And the same can be said about Zoe, too. Although through most of the story, she never let anyone get close enough to see the real Zoe, until she finally spills the beans to Liam. Even then, we don't get the whole story until right at the very end. That's alright with me though, because I always love a good mystery.I've also come to love the whole Kavanagh family...or at least the ones we've met so far, anyway. But I do have a question that's been rolling around in the back of my head, but I was surprise to see that one of the other reviewers asked the same thing in her review recently...."The only question I do have is about Liam's father - is he really dead?'"It's funny because I've been wondering the same thing, since they never did find his body, and since it was only presumed by the family as well as all of the townspeople.....that he had been in the mine when it colapsed. I have this funny feeling that maybe he wasn't there at all. And for all we know...maybe the author intends to throw us all for a loop somewhere down the line in the series, when he shows up out of nowhere after all these years. I think that would be very interesting to see how the whole family handles his return.Sorry to go on about something that may never happen, but it's just the way my mind works sometimes. ;)I would highly recommend this book to everyone!

A fun and sexy read.
Janice Maynard starts another series off with a gem in A Not-So-Innocent Seduction.Liam Kavanagh has had to grown up fast when his father up and disappeared. He was thrust into management of the family hotel, the Silver Beeches Lodge. Liam has never regretted becoming the head of the hotel as well as the family. But this has caused Liam not to be trusting of those with secrets. The latest hotel guest seems to have a boatload of secrets in her life. Still Liam is attracted to the lovely Zoe Chamberlain.Zoe Chamberlain is a free spirit, she flits from place to place never making one place her home. When her car breaks down outside of the town of Silver Glen, Zoe takes it as a sign that this is a place for her to rest and recover. She is trying to overcome an illness that has left her very fatigued. Spending time at the Silver Beeches is no hardship when she catches the eye of the charismatic owner Liam Kavanagh.Zoe and Liam are drawn to the differences in each other. Their chemistry is fantastic and sizzles every time they are together. But chemistry alone is not enough; Zoe has secrets that may destroy this newfound relationship. Will Liam be able to let go of his issue with secrets or be willing to lose Zoe forever? This first book in The Kavanaghs Of Silver Glen is all out sexy as well as emotional. Zoe’s family plays an important role in how she views herself and her world. It will take a strong man like Liam to help her see her true value. I always enjoy going into the worlds that Janice Maynard creates. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

All work and no play makes Liam a dull boy....or does it?
"A Not-So-Innocent Seduction" by Janice Maynard is the first book in the 'Kavanaughs of Silver Glen.' We meet Zoe Chamberlain who is a light hearted, funny person. We also meet Liam Kavanaugh who is the responsible older brother of the Kavanagh clan. Both are hiding a few secrets from their past that affects their relationship. Zoe may even be able to change Liam's mind about how life should be lived. It is a hot romance with a few twists that add to the couples likability. There is also much more to the story that I am not telling because it is a great book to read.Fairly easy read, I found if I had to put the book down that it was easy to pick up where I left off. Very enjoyable.

Complicated
Complicated is how I would describe the relationship between Liam & Zoe. They both had baggage they carried around with them. Trust issues on both sides got in the way, but eventually they sorted it out and lived "Happily ever after."
