There is writing throughout this book. The binding is warn and will fall apart before too long.I should have just bought a new book for $1.50 more. Disappointing.

I love to cook outdoors and am partial to the flavors of the southwest.I was pleased, as I began glancing through the recipes presented, and was glad to see that this volume went on to include good side dish recipes, soups, salsas, drink accompaniments AND some savory dessert ideas.It's not a thick volume because it focuses so successfully on the taste pallet of one my favorite food regions and does it in simple steps and clear ingredient lists.Get your sauce mops out!

My favorite food bar none is Sonoran style Mexican food. This book barely touches on it. The recipes are all over the place and the author omits some prep techniques that will absolutely screw cooks that have no prior experience cooking with chilies. One prime example being on the Chili Rellenos recipe. He doesn't even instruct the cook to remove the seeds from the chili prior to inserting the cheese into the chili. This cookbook is all over the place and every recipes is intended for gas grill usage. It has Italian food, French food, Asian food, etc. In all actuality I'll probably only used maybe 4 recipes out of this book and for me that doesn't justify the cost of the book. What I wanted was a book dedicated to Sonoran Mexican cuisine and this one ain't it.

I remember watching the show back in the 90's. The recipe's are pretty easy with a nice Southwestern flair.

This my third purchase, I keep giving away my books! I miss the food when I lived in AZ, this that's care of my "fix"

Coyote Joe does it again. An excellent southwest and Mexican style cook book.

Fantastic cookbook. We use tons of the recipes from it.
