Wet the wood for a few days and your good to go
This wood is extremely hard to carve it holds form very well but it's tough on the hands

Not as good as similar products. I found the wood harder to work with than my usual basswood and I had to sharpen my knife more frequently than usual!

The wood is very hard, and pretty difficult to work with as a beginner. The pieces were cut very accurately though.

Quite Hard Wood
Nicely finished but much harder than other Basswood I have used. Harder than pine with much denser fibres. I'm going to soak for a while as one reviewer suggests and see the difference.
