I guess it was my fault for not taking a good look at the the inactive ingredient list before I purchased this, but it has potassium sorbate as well as glycerin in it. Both of these ingredients make the stools loose. This is not a good thing in a pet who has no trouble walking, and even more of a problem with a cat who has hip and back leg problems. I had to stop giving it to her because she could not make it to the litter box in time with the soft stools she got from this supplement, so I could not even determine if it worked at all.Also, I usually ignore the 5 star reviews from people who got the product free because I don't believe them, but this time I didn't and I regret it.Another red flag was that the label looked funny-- it was a little ripped on one end and had another weird looking label covering the original label.So i will go to my health food store in the future and buy supplements there or at the vet. I lost $23 and made my cat sick in the process.

 My 17 year old cat has been taking this along with high calorie gel for about 2 weeks. I actually caught her playing!!! I was in shock. She doesn't play, she only eats, cuddles and sleeps. Definitely rebuying.

My old cat is back to climbing his scratching post and harassing his sisters. I mix it in with his wet food and have had no problem. In fact, this morning he came into the kitchen at a full run - something he hasn't done in 2 years!

So far i have not found anything wrong with this joint formula except the fact that it makes my one kitty a little sick. No real problem there though because i believe its the beef liver in the mix. I am well aware hes bad with beef, but i thought id try it out anyway as hes very suspicious of the other joint supplements i've tried with him. He did loooove the flavour though. He really wants to eat beef things, so i hoped he could actually eat this one and have it be kind of a treat, but i guess since there is a little bit of a form of beef in it his body just isn't having it. Poor guy starts salivating when we cook a nice roast beef but he really cant have any beef at all!From my personal research on joint supplements for cats this one has all the right stuff at very good dosages. My cat seems to have a little bit of cracking going on so i wanted to get him on something. Just wish he wasn't a picky eater. Also really love that its not a powder, so you can actually put it on some dry food without too much trouble. When i change over my other cats food i will put her on this and hopefully she will be able to handle it and have it benefit her. I have definitely become a believer in Glucosamine over the last couple of years. We have a 9.5 year old dog that it has worked wonders on. He went from not being able to use his back legs to propel himself up stairs, and not being able to jump into the car, bed, couch, etc to about 90% back to normal and able to do all these things once again. He has even returned to his puppy behavior a couple times a week where he will run around like crazy which is so fun to see knowing how depressed he had gotten about not being so limited and feeling in pain. We also have a 9 year old cat that is unfortunately, a little overweight. We have really cut back on her treats/food, but in the winter she just seems to gain weight. We have noticed she is not going outside as much, and is not able to jump over the gate like she use to. Since we had so much luck with giving our dog Glucosamine supplements, we thought we might as well see if she could benefit as well. Since pills are not really an option, we were super grateful to have the opportunity to try this liquid formula out at a discounted rate to see if we could get her to take it. We just sneak it into her wet food and she doesn't really seem to notice. We have had her on it for about 14 days, and though she was never as limited as our dog, it does seem like it's starting to kick in for her as well. She's not hesitating like she use to when she would jump on things and she's going out more often. She just also seems more comfortable in general which is great. So, thank you for the liquid option, it is so much easier than supplements! I have a rescue cat who we believe to be around 10 years old. She's still playful and active, but lately she's started limping and having trouble jumping. It's so sad to see her try to leap onto window sills only to fall to the floor. I've been giving her Cosequin powder in her wet food, but while it helps a little, I'd love for her to be completely free of the limp. My biggest problem though, was finding something that she'd eat.Problem solved - she likes the flavor of this joint formula! She eats it well when mixed in with her wet food. I'm thrilled with that. It's still too early to tell if it works, but I'll update soon. I received this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review, and I take that agreement seriously. If I don't see any changes, or if the changes are negative, I'll update my review to reflect that, but I'm hoping for a good outcome!Update: I've updated my star rating from 4 to 5. This stuff works SO much better than the Cosequin did. I've taken my cat off the Cosequin and now give her only this. I squirt 1 ml into about a tablespoon of wet food in the morning, and I put about .5 ml into a tablespoon of food at night. Her limp is completely gone, she jumps onto counters with no hesitation, and she races through the house like a lunatic several times a day, which used to be a rarity. I'm ordering another bottle this week.
