I'm an old man entering retirement now so I must watch every penny now. No more riotous living enjoy every item I barely fancy having. Now I must be mending my clothing where possible to insure everything lasts much longer. No more throwing otherwise good stuff away because a button fell off or a hole needs my seeing to.So I wanted an assortment of needles for my sewing kit that could handle different fabrics. I wanted needles on the larger side since I have cerebral palsy. My lack of fine finger motor dexterity simply does not lend itself well to threading tiny needles. This needle set was particularly well suited to my physical and sight limitations. The needles are durable even with blue jean material and canvas. These needles are equally good at mending socks and the holes therein.I have nothing bad I can say about these needles.

These needles would be great for crewel and cross stitch, but they're far too thick for even regular hand sewing, let alone applique or beading. Since they are easy to thread and I do cross stitch as well—and I've had enough of the hassle of returning and rebuying for quite some time!—I'll keep them, but I'll have to find something else for my current project.

I think these will be the best needles, for MY needs, I have EVER gotten. I can already tell they are more solid around the eyes which is where ALL of the others fail me. The eyes are perfect for the 2-3 strands, going thru easily and completely. I cross stitch a LOT, I've been thru a LOT of needles. These have a wonderful point and most are the PERFECT length. The others are very close. ALL meet my needs.I am VERY pleased with my purchase and STRONGLY recommend. Especially if you hand stitch much.

I ordered these big eye sewing needles for a few different reasons. I needed some for finishing my quilting projects by threading and pushing the needle through all layers of material. That is when I discovered these were NOT working out. They seem to be dull when going in the layers. But sharp on the fingers. I did manage to get a nasty poke or two in my fingertips trying to push it though. I had to finish what I started. Looks and sounds like a good deal... but I wasn’t happy with them. 😞 sorry!
