V8 Lift Cross 2R Roller Ski Bundle with Free Poles

Just got these and took them out on a wet dirt road and they rocked! Very happy looking forward to skijoring with my dog with these, they are perfect for it. Everything about these seems just what I was looking for and I will give a more detailed review after I've had them for a while. But after just my first ride outside on a dirt road right after it rained was impressive; I am very happy with how these handled in rugged conditions! Took them on pavement too and there was no problem finding a good stride with these skates. It's going to be a fun summer!

Just set these up for the wife and I and took our first jaunt with them. First off a few notes. I wear size 10.5 US Men's shoes and these work, but just barely. There is plenty of room up front, but you will definitely want the hinge in line with your toe joints so the lift is akin to XC skiis (really that's the only way it can work). So you end up adjusting these solely in the back with the heel strap (as the hinge mount is fixed without another mounting point available). So if your feet are over size 10.5 US you will definitely want to try the fit first (my heels just barely kiss the front of the back wheel with the fixed heel strap maxed and the adjustable portion leaving two clicks). Also I have wide feet and these will accommodate width to a point. If the shoes you want to use have soles that stick out beyond your footprint, they will have to squish in. I used my Fabiano XC shoes and they fit great, but with my New Balance 10.5 US 2E width M1080 V6 shoes it was a squish fit for width. All of that said the motion is very true to form for XC technique skating and classic. The poles are outstanding quality as are the skates. They are most definitely not speed skates and require work, hence are very good cross trainers. The brakes are solid and robust. The anti-reverse front wheel makes classic technique possible and flattens hills.Much too cumbersome to even approach my classic and skate skiis and far too little clearance for a gravel road...
