The book was in perfect condition. Beautiful vintage artwork. Unusual story.

Love the book, the story, the drawings. Typical Brother Grimm story, so there's always a message that could be applied to real life. My almost 3yr old fell in love with this book a while back, so I bought this additional copy (larger version) so that I won't have to worry if one breaks/is lost/etc. Fast shipping and the book was in almost pristine condition.

I dearly love this book that mama and daddy read to me 70 years ago, so awesome!

The Wolf and the Seven Kids is an excellent story to use for children when teaching them about the dangers of talking to strangers. The illustrations in this story are vibrant and grab the readers attention. Even though there is a graphic scene where the wolf eats six of the seven kids the mother saves her children by cutting them out of the wolf's stomach with a pair of scissors and then fills his stomach with rocks and sews him up. This shows the mother as the hero because she saves her children. This is an excellent story but I would be careful about reading it to younger children because they may get scared when the wolf eats the kids.

The condition of this book was billed as "Very Good". It has clearly been used as a coaster as evidence by the tea/coffee mug stain on the back cover. The edges and spine show lots of wear and tear being quite worn and scuffed. Pages 35-36 are badly creased. Furthermore, this was advertised as "Level 3" which was why I bought it for my son who has only learned to read this year. The font is small and there is lots of text, so instead of him becoming a more confident independent reader, I will need to read it to him, which was not the point. He looked decidedly unimpressed by this latest acquisition. If I'd wanted a book in this state I would have gone to a jumble sale!

I'm sorry, the author lost me at the point that the goat performed a laparotomy on the wolf without anaesthetic and the wolf didn't wake up until she was finished.

Loved this book when I was a kid. The Illustrations are amazing. So glad i found it again ... And in amazing condition.

This book had been a favourite of mine as I was growing up so I wanted to read it for my grandchildren.It is a perfect fairytale story for little ones and my grandchildren loved it.Perfectly presented it was in immaculate condition. I shall no doubt be reading this one a few times.
