To be able to get this dog food through Amazon was convenient. I was out of town and didn't plan to stay as long as I did and there it was online. I usually have to go to a feed store to get this product. My dog has numerous allergies and Doc suggest this food and it has worked great.

I switched our guy to this after noticing his health deteriorating with regular brand dog foods. Our vet recommended - and I’ve seen the changes. He went from very lethargic and aged looking to young and spritely again. It took about a solid month to see but it was definite. He eats it without issue and it helps maintain a good weight and digestive system for him

Because of the discounted low price, I grabbed several of these bags! I have a giant breed dog so he goes through these rather quickly.Here are the pros:I received the bags rather quickly. They were on sale so the price was much better than the usual low price than what I have been paying. The packaging is all original and do not appear to have been tampered with. There is no issue when it comes to the expiration date on the bags of food. They are well before the date of expiry. The food appears to be fresh and my big boy didn’t turn away from eating it. He gets picky sometimes but hasn’t done so with these yet.Here are the cons:There was no variety in flavors available at this price. I can only assume that it’s because of the reasons I’m about to explain. The bags did not have that vacuum sealed appearance that I’m accustomed to seeing with this brand of dog food. I opened up the first delivery box and saw that the bag had a small tear at the bottom which lead to some of the food spilling out into the box. Another bag had a small tear which didn’t spill out but explained why there was no vacuum seal. Again, I bought several bags of these and they all lacked that airtight seal but none of the others exhibited tears. If they were torn, I didn’t see it. I’ve included pictures of the tears that I observed. I always empty the contents into a large food storage bin anyway so I wasn’t truly concerned and the food goes fast so it gets cycled in and out pretty quick.Here is my conclusion: For the name brand and price, you’re getting an excellent deal! I wouldn’t store it in the same bags that they come packaged in because I’m sure it has been compromised somehow (hence the lower price - I can only assume). If a couple of the bags weren’t torn, this is a 5 star deal - even with the lack of a vacuum seal. But because of the tears, I had to knock off a star. In my case, it was 2 bags out of several. If this low price deal were to ever come back around, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy several bags again.

We have two pups with different food sensitivities and this food works perfectly for both of them. Price is just right too!

Excellent food for dogs with allergies

I switched my dog from one of the big brands that comes in humongous bags when he was around 2. My boy is getting ready to turn 12 in March. At 70lbs he's a fairly large dog and I was worried he would experience a shortened life span. I chose this food based on laboratory testing and it's balance between protein, fat and carbs. I also supplement the kibble with either Earthborne wet food at night or sometimes a few cooked eggs. I can't say for sure how big a part the food choice has played in his health and longevity but I suspect it has played a significant role. He still runs, jumps and initiates play every day. He's maintained his flexibility and most of his athleticism, despite being a senior. After his bath today his post bath zoomies were truly wild and he was tearing around the house running laps as fast as when he was a pup. While there are several other high quality choices in dog food on the market this is his favorite and I will continue to feed it to him as long as he likes it.

I've had another flavor my dog loves by earthborn...but sadly he won't touch it. It's too expensive to waste. The neighbor's dog seemed to like it.
