Small and Handy
Great product and on time delivery. In fact the delivery was earlier than estimated.

Bummed this didn’t work
The scale never stayed still. Even making sure no one was touching the counter or table, the numbers never stopped moving. I could not once get an accurate measurement except with the weight they give you to calibrate it and even that was only accurate a couple of times. It would tare to zero and then after about 10 seconds with nothing put on the scale, it would be -5grams and falling or one time 11 grams and climbing. I measured my dogs meds to what looked to be about the amount she normally has per dose and the read was about 3 times what I was pretty sure it was. (They’re vitamins so it’s not a terrible thing for have to have too much or too little). I just wanted accuracy. I gave one star for everything else but 5 stars on the “easy to read” part because it is in fact from a visual standpoint, very easy to read.

useless- until I removed the plastic cover/tray from the scale. Then, accurate.
The scale tray is upside down - For storage.Reverse it and can use for (whatever) and accurate. I didn't know that and #s all over the place. Pretty frustrating until figured it out. Wooda been nice if instructions told me but who reads those anyway.

I would buy with caution but customer service is pretty great
So when I first received this it was defective the hinge metal pieces were missing so it wouldn't hold together. I contacted Amazon who contacted the seller to ask for a replacement which I agreed and I was sent another one without having to send the defective one back. The second one was held together but the clip on the front to lock it didn't work. Who ever packaged it was careless and just tossed it the box with nothing to stop it from getting beat around going from place to place. Which that in it's self is probably the reason to why I'm having other issues with this product. The scale itself is off for an example if you calibrate it weigh something pick the plate up and put it directly back down it will be off. We have to calibrate it before every use just to hope with fingers crossed it's weighing correctly. The only other positive other than the seller being great is that the weight fits in the case so it's fast and easy access to to calibrate every timeSo over all I received two different defective scales and will eventually have to order different one... Even though the sell was kindly enough with agreeing to replace it over all I'm still out of money and have to buy another.. if I was the seller I'd be getting in touch with Amazon or who ever shipped it about not packaging their products correctly because then theyare having to replace it and then getting a bad review. Which I hate making because it doesn't seem to be the product itself or the seller it whoever shipped it.

Checks off all the boxes & then some! (review also includes instructions on using counting/PCS fcn)
I love everything about this little scale! It checked off all the boxes for me, which no other mini scale did:- Readability to 2 decimal places for grams and 3 for ounces. It’s quite sensitive (just blow on it), but still settles.- Seems to be accurate (will see how it fares over time)- Includes counting/’PCS’ function (***detailed instructions below***)- Small & portable- Easy to read- Solid build with elegant design- Includes own tray (that stores upside down on the scale)- Includes own weight to calibrate. (Do I know the weight is accurate? No, but I know it’s at least pretty close--weighs same as 10 nickels at 5 grams each--and more than close enough for my needs.)- Secure but still easy-to-use locking clip on outside- Secure battery compartment (comes with own screw driver)- Very reasonable price/great valueBonus points (wasn’t necessarily looking for these features, but great to have) for:- Capacitive touch buttons (no ability for substance to get in under the buttons and very sensitive to the touch with fingers but not other stuff, although I know the touch sensitivity is a con for some)- Being able to plug in (USB cable included) in case batteries die during use. (Read other reviewers’ warnings/notes about having regular vs. rechargeable batteries in place when plugged in.)Only two relatively small Cons for me.- There is a slight gap on the right side of my unit where the scale component connects to/sits in the base--it’s just not flush like the left side and I worry about substances getting in there. I have tried to see if it will snap in tighter or further, but it does not. Not a huge deal.- The lack of instructions on how to use the counting/PCS feature. Neither the instructions in the brief “pamphlet” in the box nor those on the inside of the cover (but handy for calibrating the scale) included documentation on how to use the counting feature. I ended up spending a while hunting around online trying to find instructions for scales that also offered a counting feature and was often met with the same lack of documentation, but I did get a few ideas. Then I just played around with it, testing out various approaches, until I figured it out and could document it clearly.***HOW TO USE THE 'PCS' FUNCTION TO COUNT ITEMS***=> Note that items you wish to count must be uniform in weight (as much as possible).=> Also, fyi, the “ct” mode refers to carats, a measure of weight used for gemstones, and has nothing to do with the counting function of this scale--that is what the PCS (pieces) button is for.First you must set your "count weight."1. Predetermine the item count you will use to set the count weight--you have 4 options: 25, 50, 75 or 100 items (higher counts are only really needed for very light items*).2. Turn scale on. (Of course, hit the TARE button if you add a tray/bowl after the scale is turned on.)3. From *any* mode, place your 25 items (or 50, 75 or 100) onto the scale.4. Long press the PCS button until you get 25 or 50 (this can be adjusted).5. Hit the MODE button to cycle through the 4 options until you are on the one that is the same as the number of items you placed on the scale.6. Hit the PCS button to set the count weight. Now you are ready to count your items!1. Make sure you are in the count/pieces mode. If not, hit the PCS button to get there (regular press, not long to enter into counting mode).2. Add items to count or add/remove items to reach a desired count. (Can be more or less than what you used when setting the count weight.)Bonus: This scale will remember the weight of the last item you set a count weight for, even after you've turned off your scale (assuming your batteries haven't died).*The higher the count used to set your count weight, the greater accuracy you will have. However, using a higher item count only seems necessary with very light items. When counting paperclips or pills, for example, using the minimum of 25 items to set your weight seems to be sufficient.

Trash
Let’s start with the charger they sent doesn’t fit the scale. Oh, and no others I could find did either. I think the female input is too far into the device to be reached by a charger. The overall construction is cheap plastic, even if it charges I doubt it would be accurate. It did come with a slight charge, and turned on (notice I didn’t say “worked”) and I tried to calibrate it, which never happened, and when I tried to weigh something it gave me 3 different weights on 3 tries, and took forever to settle on a number every time. So if you’re looking for a good scale, stay away from this one, it’s straight trash
