UPDATE: I have been using the pillowcase for over a month now, and washed a few times. I am very happy with the pillowcase. It is soft, the fabric seems to be a great quality, the butterfly pattern is cute yet still very adult and contemporary looking, and I love that the zipper is so discrete and does not bother me while sleeping. Despite the discrepancy with labeling in my initial review, I am overall happy with my purchase.INITIAL REVIEW: I just received in the mail, so I haven't tried it yet. I will update my review once I have experience using the product. Upon receipt, I do feel deceived by what I received as compared to what was advertised. The product description reads Kitsch 100% Satin Pillowcase, Softer Than Silk, Vegan Silk Pillowcase (Champagne Butterfly, Standard/Queen (1 Pack)). Note: it states the material is silk. Additionally, the Material (under Brand) is listed as Silk, Satin. I know that satin is a fabric weave, and that silk is a fabric. So again it states the material is silk. Down a little further, under About this item, the first bullet says cotton. When I actually received the product, the back of the box (note: not included as an image when viewing product on Amazon) states Material Composition 100% Satin Polyester. So, it is neither silk nor cotton, as advertised. I am disappointed because I specifically paid more for a product made of silk. I found several options that were not silk for much cheaper, which I may have opted for. But I specifically looked for one that was listed as truly silk, and that is why I was willing to pay more. So, my initial reaction is disappointment.

Just wow. Came in a box so can be gifted. Quality excellent, soft as silk and hidden zipper is well sewn.I've bought many satin pillowcases that are envelope closure but this one is perfect. Although it's satin, looks and feels expensive, not just some cheap polyester. Just wished there was king size available, i'd purchase it too!

10/20/22 UPDATE - As suspected my daughter HAD to have one, so i got one for her in the light grey (lovely color, not glitter silver). I’ve since hand washed mine in the sink with my shampoo/body wash just bc I didn’t have a load to wash & the color was looking “off” in places (hair products?). It took less time to do this than to walk across the house & setup everything to wash. Just tossed it on the towel rack to dry (using no care to lay it out). It came out beautifully!! No wrinkles! Color all evened out so yeah it was my hair. So, I just got another one- came yesterday in King just bc my pillows are so full i wanted to compare. Still pleasantly shocked at what a deal this is & now even more!😴 Sweet DreamsLast time I got a supposedly great satin pillowcase it came in and only one side was satin! So I looked and researched and when I came across this one I said OK I’ve got to give it a try and It is fabulous. It’s soft and silky and cool and my dogs don’t/can’t pull the threads. I’m just dumbfounded at the quality and how they can pull this off with such a seemingly delicate fabric it’s unbelievable; no I haven’t washed it and I haven’t had it for that long but from what I can tell so far it’s been on my bed for a week and I have four huskies so that should tell you a lot right there! My 22-year-old daughter is having “envy pangs” from when she was much younger and had a “smushy silky” she called her feather pillow with a pink satin case (same color) so I suppose I’ll be getting her one and me several more and lots of other pieces I’m going to shop at their store via Amazon of course.You absolutely cannot go wrong with this pillow case! Oh and shipping was much faster than I anticipated!
