Sterling 7mm Prusik Loop
One of the disadvantages of using a sewn loop Prusik is that you cannot make an asymmetrical Prusik for those times when you don't want as much friction during SRT ascents. I'm not implying that the Sterling 7mm Sewn Prusik doesn't perform! It grips like glue, so you don't have to worry about this product failing as long as it's properly tied. It grips too much, causing me to expend more energy than I would if I had used say, a Blue Water VT Prusik, for example. I will say that this product works VERY WELL when tied as a Klemheist Knot, because 1.) it saves you time in not having to make bites in the ends of the cord, and 2.) it comes in a very light weight compact size. This is how I'm going to deploy it 98% of the time in the future. All in all, a quality product.

Works
Use it with a ring for adjusting my anchor. Works. Not much else I can say about it. It's a prusik cord.

As a prusik it gets too tight, better as an auto block
I do a lot of rappeling and SRT stuff in the trees. I like this as a back up. It does cinch up really tight as a prusik. It seems to do a little better as an auto block or klemheist on a descent.
