VERY Nice !
General:Girlfriend wanted something that added security (by preventing people from looking in) to her new garage door while allowing light to come in. I have black paper on my garage door and she didn't like it being dark inside. I told her about this kind of stuff (because I've used similar before on my 4x4 window in the master bathroom). This seemed like an economic option. Her garage door installer suggested spray paint (and I quickly talked her out of that later).PRO:Price. Of course, as "Murphy" would have it, I needed one more panel and therefore had to order two rolls but it was still economical.Easy. I measured each window pane and then cut the rectangles ahead of time. But I'm sure one could easily use an oversized piece and cut it off at the edges as needed by using a metal straight edge.Little or no curl. I was initially worried it might be difficult to handle because of curl but it was really nice to unroll it off the cardboard roll and cut. EVEN after peeling the backing off it, I was worried about curling but it just hung there nicely.Application easy. I sprayed each pane (after cleaning well) with ever-so-slightly-soapy water and placed the piece, centered it on the glass, and rubbed out the bubbles and flattened it. I had a tool I had used to apply vinyl to my Corvette--it was slightly thicker than a credit card and had felt on one end. I changed off between the two edges. If you had nothing, I imagine a credit card would do fine. I waited till it was about 80 degrees F outside before applying.CON:Backing. It is a slight test of patience starting the edge of a piece and separating the backing from the actual piece. Finally, I found that really bending the first eight of an inch of a corner allowed me to get the separation started. Conclusion:I highly recommend this product. My girlfriend REALLY likes it. She likes the look from inside AND outside her garage. If she ever changes her mid, it will be easier to remove than something sprayed on.I use Amazon reviews extensively to make decisions on my purchases. It follows that I should honestly review items that I have liked (or not liked) so as to benefit other Amazon customers (as I would have them do for me). LLBB

CRITICAL Installation Tips - I was ready to send it back until I tried these...
I had 8 windows to cover and without trying these tips I would have gotten a refund and the seller would have gotten a horrible review.1. Pre-cut your pieces to size, if possible. Be as exact and straight as you can. This is easier than re-trimming post-install.2. Place 5" or 6" of adhesive tape (painter's, masking tape, etc.) on a smooth surface so the adhesive is UP. Tape both ends of the tape down using short tabs of tape. Leaving a few inches of adhesive exposed.3. Place just the corner of your pre-cut piece(s) of material on the adhesive tape and press the corner of the material down firmly.4. Now, aim for the VERY very corner of the material with the tip of a stiff razor blade and pluck/lift ONLY the rough side of the material AWAY from the thin, film backing.5. Quickly pull a couple of inches of material away from the film backing THEN remove the entire pre-cut piece from the tape and fold the FILM BACKING so it does not re-attach to the material.6. Install....

Does exactly what it says, installation skills required!
It actually works! Totally worth it!I set my expectations pretty low when ordering this. There were a lot of less than stellar reviews out there, so I prepared myself.Honestly, it’s not perfect, but it will get the job done! I didn’t take the most time in installing this, and have plenty of roll left if I want to redo the instal with a little more care. My cuts are where I would spend more time next time. Take the time to make exact measurements with clean edges to deliver a better final look.I cleaned the windows I plannned on covering, sprayed lots of water and worked things out with the squeegee. Tip: I found that on my second panel it took much less work with the squeegee because I got one small strip setteled and in place, then slowly allowed the rest of the panel to attach to the window. This is kind of like cling wrap in the way it wanted to just stick right down to the window. When allowing it to do that there were many bubbles, large and small and everywhere. Laying it down slowly left me with only small bubbles around the edges to work out.I didn’t purchase any special instillation kit with this. Squeegee from the shower and small spray bottle from a old travel sized product. Instillation took me less than 15 minutes for two small sections.Seems to me like the negative reviews are due to the lack of ability to install the product properly. Are you good at painting projects, or putting together ikea furniture? If so, then you will probably be very happy with this. If a detail oriented project isn’t your thing, you might want to bribe someone who is into helping you out with this one.Good luck y’all!

GREAT PRODUCT!
I was a bit intimidated by this product according to the reviews and even the instructions included with it but...it was a piece of cake and does the job I need it to do BEAUTIFULLY! I only had to cut the role’s width to fit my glass and I worked slowly, keeping the film on the tube. If you roll the tube down and roll the backing up and over (and keep the glass wet) while you work downwards, it lays flat and keeps bubbles to a minimum. After it was on, the very few bubbles I had smoothed out to the sides easily. I will absolutely buy this again if I need more in the future!

Usually don't write reviews but......
A overnight is 2 windows done still have to do the others. Its easy to apply and pretty much fool proof if you cut perfect......a little word of advise it says to cut with scissors but if your doing windows like this go ahead cut it a little larger than the window itself with scissors then once you put it on the window use a straight edge to bump up as tight as you can to the edge then use a sharp exacto or new razor blade to cut along the straight edge.
