Very Smooth Runner
Only tried it on a test track, not used in the loco I intend it to be put in, but, it runs very smoothly and quietly

Worked great for me!
The Kato 11-105 is identical to the 11-106 and the 11-107, with the only difference between being the details on the sides of the trucks. For those interested, the 11-105 looks, to my eye, fairly similar to a Bettendorf truck - but underneath a car, from 4-1/2 feet away, I certainly could not tell any difference. Why did I buy a motorized chassis in the first place? I used the Kato 11-106 to bash up a powered “ghost” or “pusher” boxcar to help my steam engine pull long trains up the 4% grades of my layout - I fabricated a 30’ reefer ( not prototypical, I know, but doesn't look half bad...!) from a 36’ wood sided reefer by carefully cutting two 3’ sections out from each end about halfway between the door and the ends with a razor saw then carefully gluing it back together with MEK. Painted and lettered and it passes inspection of probably 99 people out of 100... and does what I wanted beautifully! My big 2-6-6-2 can now crawl up into my mountain pass with 20 cars (secretly helped with the shorty reefer), when before it was slipping and stalling out with just six. I run old-school DC, btw, would have no idea how you’d solder in a decoder if you were trying to DCC-ify things...Plus, fast and courteous shipping direct from Japan - all this for less than $20! Thanks for reading!

Use your imagination.
Great little motors and very strong. A lot of buyers complaining about pulling power. You have to add 13 grams of weight. (flatten out fishing weights with double face tape) for them to show their true strength. The only difference from the 105,106,107 units are the style of trucks, all have same motor. F3,7,9 shells are easiest to adapt along with FB units. Just cut the back off, next to ladders with hobby saw, shorten front half and sand / fit carefully, pack with shims. Restores the crappy running or dead trolleys to nice runners. Still perfecting a way to add lights. With the price of locomotives going sky high these days, they are a economical alternative. Very fun to see the result. The vid shows FA & FB modified units pulling 7 cars and a Caboose,1/4 throttle, 4.5 volts. On a 8.5in radius!! smooth as silk. Sorry for the test paint job LOL. Stick with the two wheel cars, less resistance. Most all the Japan cars are black so they take paint for the American look. These two will pull 6 Beer can tankers or 70 ton ore cars with cabooses easy. My mini / pocket line system is growing fast. Have a bigger layout, now its getting neglected.
