Vocca Pro Light - Smart Lights - Voice Activated Lights Adapter - Record Your Own Voice Triggers

I'm sure this product would get 5 stars if it wasn't so hard to set up. After lots of trial and errors I got mine to work.The main problem is that the app makes you think your voice triggers sync-ed when they really didn't. FYI: When it really syncs an empty light bulb appears which then fills up in yellow until it is 100% synced.After fumbling around with various settings (ie, wifi off and on, bluetooth rescanned, app closed and opened) it magically synced. Magically because I was unable to determine what I exactly did that made it work.Once synced it worked perfectly.This is a great product but the sync issue needs to be fixed. I suspect the problem is with the app which is good news because the fix can be provided through a routine update.It will also require that you modify your lamp shade to clip to the bulb because the vocca is large (about the size of a small tennis ball).

Generally the light is pretty cool and the default command worked fine. However, I could not get the app to work using iOS 10.3.1. The app would not allow me to Save the device and therefore I could not create custom commands. I contacted the company through their website, but didn't receive the usual message received acknowledgement and after a week still had received no response.

Works fine for me. Does take some time to learn how to use, but the phrases do work that I custom programed in and the application worked fine on my Android phone. All in all, an excellent light control device. Kudos to the Vocca light developers for a well made product.

Had to return it. Just never was able to turn the bulb in or off with any frequency. Sometimes it worked but usually didn’t. Very frustrating but the return was easy.

The box said Voca pro on it, but not on the bulb inside the box. Total scam ! So obviously the features were not the same.

Pros:the voice recognition works and is pretty coolCons:1. You can buy it much cheaper from the vocca site directly.2. the large size means that it may not work in the light fixtures you want to use it in3. the setup for using your own voice works only rarely. specifically, I've had it for over a week and only one day did the app find the device. when it did, i was able to successfully set it up, but have not been able to change it since.4. The company support is completely NON-EXISTENT. I didn't get an email confirmation of my purchase, no responses to requests for shipping updates, no responses to requests for help with setup, just complete radio silence for 2 weeks!5. the voice recognition works only as long as the person who records it says the same phrase again the same way. don't expect to program a phrase and have anyone be able to say the phrase and have it work.

Too big to fit into most lamps. Doesn't work 93% of the time.

I have 2 of them and they work great. I like having one in my bedroom is so I can get all comfortable in bed with my pillows and then just talk to it and turn it off. I don't have to reach or turn over to turn off my light.
