I wish I had this my whole life! I've had it for while now. It works extremely well on some packages that I don't think it will due to shape, bigger indention of plastic, etc. Then there have been some I expect it open easy but it doesn't work well. Guess some plastics just tougher than others. If you have any problems with it not cutting good or feels like blade must be way too dull to cut... it's likely just that particular plastic package. I've thought mine was dull or damaged and then cut something else later easily. Most of time works great. If you have kids....this will be a magic life saver. I don't have kids and still glad I found it. Also the way the blade is inside...makes it difficult to accidentally cut self. Works like product video shows.

I bought this in anticipation of the next plastic blister pack that I had to open. So one arrived today, I got our the Slitit. Much to my dismay, I had to really push hard for it to even make the beginning cut. It did not get any easier as I tried to slide the cutter down the blister pack edges. I thought about getting a hammer. I got the first side cut and then tried another side. This had the same problem as before. So I got out my box cutter and it did the trick. SAVE YOUR MONEY, NOT WORK A CENT OF WHAT I PAID FOR IT.

Where has this been all my life?!! I can’t believe I wasted so much time and effort not to mention bloody cut fingers trying to cut open plastic packages with scissors and knives. This was so quick and easy!!!! You NEED this!

I liked the clean straight cut once it is set & ready to cut.Simple cutter hard to push in heavy plastic covers, but cuts smooth straight lines.Can slip easily but blade is mostly shielded and safe. Alternately a Single edge Razor blade may do a better job but more dangerous than this cutter.

You know what happens when you have to get anything out of plastic encasement. Benihana couldn't Ginsu-knife the item out of the package in less than 20 minutes. What chance have you got? Before you kill a loved one, just buy this gizmo.If nothing else it will have the distinction of being the only thing that works in the junk drawer.

Works on thin plastic or paper. Not even as good as a cheap pair of scissors Do not buy!

You already know about that nasty clam shell packaging all the stores are using these days. This tool slices through the edges like a knife through butter and splits them open like a clam, literally. No worry about slicing your hand and/or fingers on that razor sharp packaging ever again!! Highly recommended.
