Oxford Black n' Red B5 Case Bound Notebook, Black/Red

Black n' Red notebooks are the only ones I use. The paper is top quality and as someone with awful handwriting, a quality pen and a quality notebook makes all the difference. Relatively expensive, but worth it if I want to be able to read my own handwriting!

These are excellent notebooks, the B5 size is a personal favorite as I find A5 too small but A4 too big. They fit into ultrabook sized laptop bags too (I.e 13 inch)The page quality is perfect to write on with a fountain pen or even a ball point, unlike some cheap notepads where you can't use the back of a page due to ink soaking through or being transparent from being so thin - these books don't do that.

These notebooks are good value. The Optik paper is acid free so they are suitable for archival use and binding quality is very good indeed.Optik paer performs exceptionally well with fountain pen inks. It allows the inks shading to come through as well as the brightness of the ink colour.What has annoyed me greatly is that this, my latest purchase has a big sticker on the front with some time management slogan on it. Something about doing things today. Additionally, the inside cover and fly leaf had more time management quotes. The inside ones were not so intrusive, but the large front cover sticker was difficult to remove and left the front cover somewhat marked.I buy these for formal use and do not want childish time management prompts.Such a shame.

I spent forever looking for a good notebook. The size is perfect for what I wanted, but most importantly the paper quality is brilliant. It’s slightly silky and so pen ink flows more fluidly on the paper, with no bleed through to the next side of the page. I like the grey line colour and line spacing as well. My handwriting is way better on this paper, no matter what pen I use. I’ll never use any other notebook again. Bought more already.

Perfect size. Not too small and not too big. Ipad size. Easy to carry with ipad and macbook Pro 14 inch. Will order more. Good quality and good value for money.
