Amazing album
I’ve always loved this album. As soon as I saw it was available on vinyl, I jumped at the purchase. There are no skips or noise errors and it just sounds pristine. Why only 3 stars? It’s not one of the greatest of all time. But it is one of my favorite “anytime” albums.

Sound evolves. So does Placebo
You might notice a few lackluster reviews, claiming this album is not as good as earlier work. Why oh why would you ever want Placebo to stick to only one sound, even if it were the sound that created the brilliant Without You I'm Nothing? I would hate anything adhered to too much, certainly over the span of 5 studio albums.MEDS, for me, is fresh and a rewarding listen. Where Sleeping With Ghosts might have approached too polished, MEDS goes to a slightly less overwrought construction, with a little less synth. My personal favorites are "Infra Red", "Blind", and "One of a Kind" ...you might notice there's some more generally bouncier songs on this album, but it's not without weak spots, for me, "because i want you" and "cold light of morning" just arent my personal highlights from the album. They took the natural next step in the evolution of their sound with MEDS. Give it a few listens before you decide what you ultimately think.

Opposite issue from everyone else.
First of all, I want to make it clear that this isn't a problem with the album per-se. The album plays well and is a strong offering from Placebo. However, a number of people in the comments had mentioned (complained) that this was the re-release album. I was actually shipped the original version so it did not have the track-list that I was expecting. To clarify, I was expecting the 15 track version (including UNEEDMEMORETHANINEEDYOU and Running Up That Hill); however, I receieved the 13 track version (including In The Cold Light Of Morning).Amazon, please include track lists for all albums you sell and do not lump different versions of the same album together.

Lookout.
Pretty much the only Placebo CD I wish I never bought, strange as it may seem to even say it. I knew they had been going that direction in sound for a while now, but I personally never got into like everything else from their works over the past couple decades. It just felt more of a harder kicking beatbox behind their sound, and for me, that just wasn't cutting it. Had it been the only Placebo CD on earth, I'd learn to make do, but not so for the enjoyment.

Meds We Need Indeed
Amazing album by an Amazing Band! Placebo never cease to disappoint. And this album is no exception. This edition also came with a DVD, but its a bit on the weak side. Stick to the album and put it on full blast to do your ears some good. "Infra Red" is my personal favorite jam on here.

Surprised
I bought this disc for a song they have done for my favorite TV show. I've heard it several other times (TV commercials, Movie Trailers, etc) and decided to do some research to find out who sang it. It was a good deal so I went ahead and bought the disc. I love the song I was looking for and was surprised that I enjoyed most of their other songs as well. Normally I am particular with this style of music and don't listen to a lot of it (I usually end up more rock or more alternative) but this CD was a nice surprise and I may check out some more of their music too. If it's the style you like, I'd highly recommend it.

Take your Meds
I have all Placebo albums, and just through a search of all bands I have liked in the past, I stumbled upon this new Placebo addition. The album is very good on first listen...holding its own with all their earlier work...and yet the more I listen...the more I think they have created something really special with this album. The music has the unmistakable Placebo sound...but with a number of fresh sounds added in...so builds well on past work to create richer, more comfortable sounding songs. I think Placebo fans will be pleased with this purchase. The album gets five stars for consistently good music that exceeds expectation.

The life of Placebo
I love Placebo and I have been listening to them for many years, I really love this album as it takes you through this chapter of thier musical life, I feel it is darker than thier other albums, especially the new album 'Battle for the Sun' and I feel it perfectly represents thier mindset during that time as they were in a dark place, but since then they have come out of the darkness and moved into the light and made the album 'Battle for the Sun' which I also love, due to it's upbeat nature. It is always a journey listening to Placebo, each album is a chapter in thier career and this chapter, although dark for them, was a great to listen to.If you love Placebo then you should buy this album for your records, but if you are new to Placebo I would suggest 'Sleeping with Ghosts' or 'Battle for the Sun' as a first album to buy.
