Simple to use
They just flop right onto the lip of any bowl and stay put, sealing everything up except the vents in the smokestacks of the little ships on top (cute). Much better than others I've had that held their own shape and wouldn't lay flat. The first time I used one, the tomato sauce seemed to stain it a little. But eventually it came off, and they all look pristine again now. Best to get it wet right away if it looks like it might stain. My only caution: the vents are in the little ships, which also serve as handles, so it's easy to put your hand right over the hot vents when removing these covers and get a slightly painful shot of hot steam or air.

Works great
These lids are so much better for microwaving. I have found they actually cut down on the amount of time it takes to microwave just about everything. I usually have food in Pyrex bowls with lids and just microwave them with the lid laying over the top but not fully closed (that has ruined a few lids when they were suctioned down) and that always takes more time than I think it should. These lids work better in a number of ways but the one thing that stands out the most is that food gets heated more evenly. I would definitely recommend and would buy again, but don't need to since you get a pack of 3, different sizes.

Helpful item
I actually mostly just use the little one. I like to have one fried egg every morning, and couldn't find any lids for my 6.5" egg pan (if you cover the egg, the white sets better on top but lets the yolk stay runny). This lid stays put, and doesn't seem to get too hot when I remove it.

Do they make a perfect seal, no
drunken amazon purchases normally end up with me returning the item. However I can never find my cooking lids for my pots. So I kept them. It's been over 9 months and with heavy use these have held up. Do they make a perfect seal, no. But it beats putting another pot over it or cling film or any other thing I deiced to use as a lid because I can never find my lid. Plus it's a steamboat that has steam coming out. Whats not to love...

THEY WORK!
Just place atop your microwave-safe bowl or casserole. They won't sag or burn, and I haven't managed to stain them yet. The cute little steamships serve both as vents and as stay-cool handles (no head of steam gets a chance to build, so you won't burn yourself by the holes), plus they nest so you can keep them neatly stacked. The largest one would likely work as a vented lid for a small or medium-sized frying pan, though I haven't tried it yet. Another purpose: try them over a salad bowl in the fridge; you'll have a little ventilation but not enough to dry out your lettuce.

If you are tired of food blowing up all over ...
If you are tired of food blowing up all over the microwave because the paper towel you had over it blew off or collapsed into your food, you'll love these. They do get a little warm to the touch, but if they are warm, I guarantee you don't want to touch whatever bowl is being covered anyway. Also thanks to the designer, all the others I've seen are pig faces,to that I say - no thank you.

These are adorable and very functional
These are adorable and very functional. I bought them to fit a pot that no longer has a lid and find them useful to cover bowls as well. I also use one as a steamer lid because my steamer basket sticks up with the regular pot lid, and it works very well.

No steaming
They don't really "steam".And they deform from the heat, losing the seal

Too floppy. Larger lid sinks down in the middle
I bought these hoping to replace a couple of lids that have no steam vent and tend to slip down when titled to let steam out (so stuff boils over the top and on to the stove). But the larger lid is not thick or sturdy enough to keep it's form over a pot. It sags way down into the pot. We had great hopes but cannot use these.

work well, seem like they'll last!
Bought these for a set of cast iron pots in varying sizes we use on our boat. They work well, don't seem to be bothered by hot metal or the heat coming from the gas stove. The steam coming out the chimney is a very cute bonus that everyone finds fun.

Works very well
This is the second time I purchased these. It was for a gift this time. They work really well and the 3 sizes are most useful. The boat on top with waves and steam holes are fun and the light blue (the sea) is nice.

Fabulous design
Creativity design and save the plastic wrap. It looks funny and very superior in functionality.
