Love it! Just a very small amount is needed so the small bag is worth the price. The scent changed is warm but spicy. As you rub it on your pulse points, different scents reveal themselves. It’s comforting and I’m so happy I bought it.

I purchased an envelope of this several years ago. My mother had lived in Japan for several years following World War II. I brought the envelope to her, being interested in her opinion. When she smelled it, her entire face lit up. She turned to me with wonder on her face and said,"This is the smell of Japan. My mother recently passed away. I have purchased another envelope because it reminds me of my mother.

Really great spicy fragrance with a good amount of smooth, creamy, warm sandalwood. Can be used traditionally as rubbing incense on wrists and ear lobes and can also be used as powdered incense for burning. Very very high quality stuff, another winner from shoyeido!

EDIT: Try it on. On some people, this smells heavenly. I was originally going to return this because I really didn't like the smell. If you buy it and it doesn't work for your body chemistry, let someone else try it. I bumped up my sar rating because this stuff gets transformed with body heat and personal chemistry.________________I don't know what happened, but the package I received smells like curry, not exotic woods and resins or even something meant to be worn rather than cooked with. Not at all what I expected. Costly mistake to purchase and reaffirms my decision to stick to buying items like this at a brick and mortar store where I can use my senses to make a judgment before purchase. Scents are a highly personal purchase and unless it's a reliable favorite can be an iffy purchase based solely on written descriptions. This may work for some people, but unfortunately, I'm not one of them.

Works great! Slightly sweet scent like cookies but not too much just perfect!

This product is pricy but worth it. It is wearable incense powder. It has a complex woody aroma sandalwood and aloeswood. Pure and a little bit lasts a long time.

Smells like food, not incense or perfume. Try it if you want to smell like curry and cinnamon.

I love it because it smells wonderful!
