SMITH Unisex Chamber Elite Sunglasses

I’ve got a fat head, But these fit me like they were custom made.I’m a biker. MC.The Lens material and frame design are perfect for long, high speed rides. they seem like are designed to be safety glasses.I get no wind drying or debris in my eyes.The pink lens isn’t the best for bright light, it is good, but they are great for everything else; even sunset-ish lowlight conditions. It produces strikingly clear contrast. just amazing how good it is.Haven’t ridden with the “Igniter” at night because I have the same frames, in clear, for night riding.Also, I wear the clear in the forge and at the grinder as safety glasses; I recently found out they are ANSI ballistic.Smith gives you so much (SO MUCH!!!) for a fair price. If the glasses give out on you they replace them with out a bunch of BS.I have 6 of these Smiths; That is how much I like them3 pairs that I wear regularly. They are, more or less, the full spectrum of lenses; ,gray, clear, pink; and I have three of the exact same of each on standby because there ISN’T ANYTHING I could buy to replace them.I had one customer service experience with Smith, and it was just terrific. Just perfect. Smith put me in a better place than I was at before I had my issue. There was none of the Maui Jim customer service whining about what did I do to the glasses to make them wet the bed. There wasn’t any of the Oakley, horse apples about ”We stand behind our product %100 and aw will replace them for the full price of buying a brand new pair.” How is that even a warranty?Smith hooked it up, and treated me like a customer they valued! it was my best customer service experience ever. They basically said, “Our product failed! We (Smith) are so sorry. Here’s a brand new pair. Don’t worry about shipping the broken pair to us. Take a new pair with a case and our apology for our sunglasses letting you down.”my experience with Maui Jim - similar pair of glasses is $300, Smith’s $80. Smith replaced them NQA . Maui Jim wanted a long explanation for what happened and I still had to pay for shipping the broken ones back, for the shipping the new ones to me, handling to get the new ones shipped to me, and a price for everything they had to fix which was about half of what I paid for them newOakleys warranty turned out to be %100 replacement for the price of a new pair. Never did figure out how that was considered a ”%100 warranty”, except that “%100 warranty” was in the name. Smith did me all the way right! The other 2 just screwed me over.These Smith’s I gotta say are just as outstanding as their customer service!Great product, fair price, perfect customer service!

Form, fit, and function. All are accomplished. And they are made in USA.

I bought these glasses since Smith no longer makes the T-Nine sunglasses, which I liked better since I have a large head. These have good coverage but they tend to tilt out at the top a bit unless you snug em up to your face. I am getting used to them after having them about a month or so. If you are looking for a replacement for the T-nines like I was, you might want to look for another Smith product before buying these. They are very nice sunglasses though. Very comfortable and they won't fall off even if not tight to your face. Smith are the only brand of Sunglasses I buy. I still search on CL and Ebay for used T-nines.

Excellent build quality, light and resistant frame. I do not recommend this product for people with narrow or short faces because it is wide and large. It is a little large for my face as opposed to the other sunglasses that I have from Smith Optics. I will keep it though because I live in Brazil and it is too expensive to return it to Amazon. Also because the main purpose I bought these sunglasses is for driving so it does not matter if it is a little to large for fitting my face but I thought this would be helpful to other readers that might be interested on this product. Smith Optics makes high quality products, there is no question about that. My wife has Nike sunglasses and she likes them because they looke nice on her face however Smith Optics has superior quality.

These are moderately large wraparound glasses. Since I wear a 7 7/8 hat size, I need big glasses. These fit OK. After several months of use I'm not as happy with the glasses as I had been originally - they are just a bit small on me, the lens is goofy colored (see below), and they creak when I put them on. The Edge Blade Runner XL are better sunglasses for less money. The fancy "Ignitor" lens is basically just a rose-colored lens, with the good and bad aspects that brings. If I had known I would have bought gray lenses.

Best sunglasses I've ever owned. The information on frame size was very useful (and accurate) in helping assure a good fit. I've driven over 3,500 miles in the summer sun across the Western US with these on, and they are terrific for visibility and fighting eye fatigue. Very comfortable, do not slip off, and good for everyday swimming/hiking wear as well. Paid about $100 (with some skepticism), and have absolutely no regrets about doing so. Great sun glasses and good value.

Smith makes the best dang sunglasses and safety glasses. Period! Very comfortable. Got these because of good eye coverage. MUCH better than $10 safety glasses you get at the big box stores. Worth every penny. Use for everything from carpentry to ATV riding to shooting sports. If they are good enough for the military fighting around the world, they should work for me. Also have similar pair in different model I use for sunglasses. Love them as well.

A previously-purchased pair was recently run over by a tractor in a gravel driveway. It is worth noting that while the frame hinges were destroyed and the temples totally mutilated, the lenses did not break nor did they eject from the frames. Of course, the lenses were scratched and dented beyond saving, but the tremendous forces applied to them did not break nor penetrate them. I am fully confident that as protective eyewear, these glasses would save my eyes from any number of flying objects. Thus, I am happy to have been able to replace them with the same model, four years later, and at the same price I paid for the first pair. Thanks, Amazon and Smith Optics!
