Swingline Stapler, Full Strip Desktop Stapler, 40 Sheet Capacity, Low Force, Optima 40, Silver/Black/Orange (87840)

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this stapler. It works well stapling a couple pieces of paper as well as a large number of pages. Tired of the cheap plastic staplers that cannot staple more than 10 papers without breaking. This stapler is sturdy and am sure will last years.

Good for arthritic hands like mine. Very little pressure needed and fairly easy to load.

This stapler was not cheap, it should have proven worthy of the purchase.ALAS IT APPEARS TO BE JUNK.

Great quality from Swingline. Staples through a good stack of paper and hasn't jammed up yet.

I run an indoor rock climbing gym, so, as you can expect, my employees have very strong hands. I've seen one of them accidentally open a can of soup just by squeezing too hard when they were putting their lunch away. Average staplers don't stand a chance at our front desk. The Swingline Optima 40, on the other hand, lasted us over 2 years before wearing out (the strikeplate wore down so the staples stopped bending in and just started getting crushed). This is the second we've bought and I will buy this model again.- handles well- effortless stapling- always offers to split the cheque, even if it only had a salad
