Mid-century Modern: 100 Postcards of Iconic Designs Card Book – February 24, 2016

Based on other comments, I looked up an image of the cards on another site. (Included here.) I like these cards and may order them. Going by the box cover I didn't expect the cards would have photographs, but it would be nice if they'd include some sample images of the cards.

The post cards are very unique cute and some are a little weird. I am part of Postcrossing.com I buy a lot of post cards to send world wide,

I failed to read the fine print about this set, so the fault is partly mine. But in the service of "buyer beware" be sure and read the fine print about the card images. They are not photographic reproductions but simple line drawings of mid-c. objects. Sometimes only a part of the object is represented on the cards (perhaps for copyright reasons?). Some design elements of a particular object are just repeated to make a pattern on a card, so that it bears no resemblance to the object itself at all. A set like this with real photographs -- even if those were taken from vintage advertisements -- would better represent the many wonderful objects included here.

Great quality cards with iconic designs. Great as a gift for a design enthusiast.

I should have read the review posted by another buyer. Like them, I failed to read the description of this item and was disappointed to discover that all the renderings are just that- renderings. No photographs. They're nothing but drawings. Simple line drawings. I didn't even look at the whole set- it immediately went into my "sell to Half Price Books" pile. Hopefully I've learned my lesson and will read descriptions more carefully in the future.

Wanted to post a review on here since it only had one other negative review. I love this box of postcards! So many iconic mid century designs. So much better than most of the other postcard boxes out there. A lot are line drawings, so not for you if you're looking for very colourful cards, but they are perfect for someone who likes vintage style
