There is online two-player co-op, however there are no local co-op options in Far Cry 6.

Q: Can I upgrade from ps4 to Xbox series x or does it have be the same platform.

There is no cross-platform upgrade available as the licenses are separate.

Q: If we’ve purchased the ultimate edition and just want the new lost between worlds dlc (from the goty edition), can it be bought separately?

Yes, mostly all/any DLC’s can be purchased in the PlayStation STORE separately…. UNLESS it’s EXCLUSIVE ONLY AVAILABLE WITH GOTY Edition. Do you find this out, log into the PlayStation store and search for the DLC you’re looking for, to see if it is GOTY Exclusive or not

Q: Will this have a copy of the map?

No. The Map of Yara only comes in the Collector's Edition.
