Bathroom Sink Drain Stopper, Pop Up Drain Vessel Sink Assembly with Overflow, Brushed Gold

I really wanted this item to work, because it looks really nice; however, I can not give this product a positive review. This item comes with parts that are virtually impossible to find, should you need to replace something like a washer. Washers are the little plastic or rubber rings that go between joints or connections in the pipes. They help seal the joint, preventing leaks.I installed a new vessel sink in my guest bathroom and ordered this pop up drain to install as well. During the installation process, I had to adjust some of the drain pipes underneath the sink. While making those pipe adjustments, the seal (pictured below) became damaged, because it is made of a very soft, flexible rubber. Because of the damage to the seal, there was a leak after installation. When I realized the seal had been damaged, I went out and looked for another seal. This seal is virtually impossible to find. I went to the following Hardware stores: Home Depot, Lowes, ACE Hardware, and Town & Country Hardware. NOBODY had this seal. I even went to a master plumbing supply store 25 miles away. They also didn't have this seal/washer.Since this is such a non-standard part, which will need to be replaced periodically, I wish the seller would have had enough sense to include a spare one in the kit, but they did not.I ended up using plumbers putty to seal this particular joint, which worked, but after I installed everything and tested for leaks, I realized I now had a leak where this stopper is connected to the sink itself. At this point, I've had enough. I initiated a return and ordered the other pop up stopper I had ordered from Amazon a few weeks earlier (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F18TQKC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I had no issues installing this previous pop up stopper in my daughter's bathroom.Just briefly about myself, I am not a professional plumber, but I am a capable DIYer. I've installed a dishwasher, garbage disposal, another pop up stopper, sink, toilet, faucets, etc. So this is not my first rodeo. But this item has been a huge pain in the a.....

This is absolutely one of those household/bathroom items that is, in my mind, one of the great inventions. If you are sick and tired of trying to adjust the stopper in your bathroom sink with that pull rod contraption, just to have it never seat properly and still the water drains out. This is the solution ! Easy to install. Works great. Just push down and it opens then push down and it closes tightly. Well made material and looks great. The only thing you need to know when ordering is if your drain/sink has a run off or not ( just means if you have a hole in the sink to run the overflow or not. It comes with directions, pipe tape etc. Love it. Installed in less than 15 minutes. I am going to replace all the drain plugs in my house with this item. They sell it for bathrooms as well.

I’ve never done plumbing work before, and I ended up with a new vanity with a ceramic sink-top. Lots of trial and error with standard-sized bath pop-ups from the home improvement store, plus trying to adjust the pop-up rod/stopper not to leak. I finally realized I needed a 1.5” as opposed to the 1.25” which seems to be standard for bath sinks in stores. The 1.5” in stores had no overflow. Sooooo, I ordered this from Amazon, It arrived really fast, and literally had it installed in 5 minutes like a pro! It looks great, the pop-up seals perfectly with no adjustments!! Also, they included some plumber’s tape which I used on the threaded connections to be safe. I am relieved to have this project done after a week of purchases and returns to the big box. Whew! I

We purchased a really nice bathroom sink faucet from a chain home improvement center. The faucet was great the drain replacement was cheap plastic. It broke from me just hand tightening nut gasket. This 100% metal sink drain was unbelievable. I've never installed a sink drain before without trying to fix some sort of leak from below until I installed this sink drain. Without the use of silicone or plumber's puddy I installed this new drain in about 5 minutes. Hallelujah, no leaks. For all you DYIers out there you know that euphoric feeling when dealing with plumbing. Great form fitting rubber and plastic gaskets. Really great product.

We bought 4 of these - my husband installed each of them, and each one has a leaking problem. I'm no plumber, but something about too many threads, had to use silicone caulking and tape, still leaking. It's too bad because these are nice looking sturdy stoppers, (we bought 2 gold and 2 brushed nickel) so, husband is going to work again on them this weekend. My error purchasing these, didn't read all the reviews about the leaking issues! Too late by just a few days to return.

I bought this to replace a new popup drain that leaked. This brand has a much thicker and differently designed silicone gasket and did not leak thankfully. It did come with a diagramed installation sheet, but it is pictured with a different under-sink gasket which looks like it should be installed upside down from the way the drain is assembled in the package. Just be aware. Also, the brushing of the nickel finish is poorly done and looks a little cheap. The brush strokes are very wonky. It’s not terrible, but the previous drain purchased had circular, even brush strokes and looked so much richer. It is not a big enough deal for me to return this one though. See photos.

I BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT TO REPLACE THE OLD STOPPER ON MY SINK. IT WAS THE "PULL UP THE ROD" TYPE. I HAD REPLACED THE STOPPER TWICE & RECONNECTED THE ROD SEVERAL TIMES. THIS PRODUCT FIT PERFECTLY & WAS EASY TO INSTALL.QUICK SHIP

I just switched my two bathroom sinks from those annoying old ball rod contraptions to this smart push-down, spring-up product. And I love them! So much better! I have some experience taking apart the bathroom sink pieces and putting them back together. But even if you have no experience, you can probably figure this out. Very happy - Highly recommend.
