Blinking Death Throws
Things I like:- it’s easy to assemble- Pretty bright for a solar- it’s tallThings I don’t like:- after its been on for a few hours after dark, it goes into what I like to call “blinking death throws.” Basically, the batteries run out of juice but rather than just turning off it blinks continuously throughout the night making it appear as someone is inside the house flipping on and off the light switch like an idiot! I’m sure our neighborhood thinks we’re nuts at this point with a lamppost blinking on and off throughout the entire night. Doesn’t stop until it’s light out again.

Bright, Not Stable, Overall Good
Overall this was worth it. We wanted a bright solar light, and most lights are the market are dim (and don't stay bright for long). This is bright for 2 hours after dark, and is still lit at midnight. For comparison the neighbor's solar lamp is dim right away, and is entirely out by midnight.Pros:Brightness (for a solar lamp).Duration (for a solar lamp). It's solar, so no need to wire it up.Cons:Pain to assemble the base without help (but possible). If you live in a rocky area (northeast), drilling it into the ground just won't work. The "drill" piece is plastic. You will need to dig a hole, refill, and pack.If not using concrete, not very stable. I was able to stabilize it using large rocks and bricks laying around. It wobbles if pushed, but is otherwise stable enough it's been fine in 20+ mph winds.Cloudy days mean absolutely no light. It would have been nice to have a battery backup option.Having the flexibility to put a lamp on the other side of the driveway without wiring it up has been nice. Would buy again.

Perfect landscape post lamp
I bought 3 of these and will be buying more. They all come on within seconds of each other and are brighter than I expected but not so bright as to be a nuisance to neighbors. I chose to poor a concrete base. The included anchor bolts and bolt holder made it easy. The post is metal with a good finish. Best of all no wiring. Just mount it in a sunny location, turn it on and it works. Best solar post lamp I have found for the price. The bulbs and batteries can be changed if they ever go bad. This is a quality well built unit. I will buy more.

Great LED light
Wife and I had to old broken lights damaged during a tree removal. Contractor wrote us a check and we shopped for something solar. I was made contractor with her stipulations; must be solar, black and dawn to dusk setting. These looked great and fit the part, so I pulled the trigger before a family event. The family handyman, (and I) installed these as our honeydew list.Install was easy. We installed them roughly 4 inches unground for stability without using a pad or pavers. Heavy rain in FL helped us out.Functionality is damn near perfect. Our FL sun turns off at 9pmish, and these lights last 9p-4a give or take.Value wise, we could’ve easily spent $300+ each light for equal performance, brightness and electric.Longevity is the only question mark, but I’m 30 days after install with zero complaints.
