This was not what I expected. It was super hard to use and just ended up making watermelon juice from destroying the watermelon trying to get it out. It took 10x as long then doing it with a knife. Fail. Bigtime.

Works great. Best thing is my 15 yr-old has now take over melon prep. In her slang it's "sick" which is apparently a new word for awesome.

I love watermelon, but am less that graceful when it comes to cutting one up. This is a pretty nifty tool to have to get watermelon off the rind without making a huge mess. It does take some practice to be able to use easily. I kept ramming the end too close the the harder white part of the rind on the first half of my watermelon, so in turn I was squeezing the cutter together and making the chunks narrow. By the time I got the the second half of my watermelon I had much better technique and had more even slices. I like how easy it was to lift out the slices by flipping over the cutter. Not a lot of clean up and I was able to get most of the watermelon out of the rind and did not have to deal with a knife and a cutting board, let alone the heap of cut rinds that have to go in the trash. When I was done I just dumped the now empty rind halves in the garbage, quickly washed off the cutter and was able to enjoy my watermelon. The serrated edges of the cutter are rounded, so while they are scratchy, it is not sharp enough to really do any cutting on skin. I hard pressed the serrated edges and ran it across the palm of my hand several times and had no issues. There are small divots on each side of the cutter to help keep a grip on it while cutting through the watermelon. I would recommend starting off with a smaller personal watermelon, cantaloupe, or honeydew to get the technique down. I bought some monster sized watermelon so while it was cut up faster than when I use a knife, it did start off with a bit of frustration just getting use to the slicer. Looking forward to making some fruit bowls with the half rinds.I received this product in exchange for an honest review, however all opinions are my own

Thought this was going to be a gag gift for my mother in laws 92 birthday. It turns out works great. We cored a half watermelon into slices, and had a bowl shape of rind to use as a tossed salad bowl as snacks. Easy to use with instructions on the packaging, can even use it to cut the watermelon into bite size cube. Loved it and will try it on different fruits later.

I really like this product, it comes with three easy directions that anyone can follow and it works well. The only thing I disliked about this product was that the dishwasher alone did not clean it well after use, it requires you you hand clean it. Also, I wish it came in a different color other than silver! Other than that this product was great and made cutting melon a lot faster.

I receive it today and couldn't wait to try it. It's fun and easy to use, my kids was super excited .
