Q: Will the carving fork fit inside a 11 slot Shun bamboo block?

Most Likely as the fork spread is a little less wide than most kitchen knives and it is less thick that the slot widths so unless you have weird set it will, it fits in ours.

Q: Does this come in a nice case for gifting?

the set comes in a nice box - black with white/sliver lettering. I would not call it a "case" like you would use to store the knife. But, yes, the box is quite nice and can be easily wrapped for a gift
